Tactical coffee originated in Key West, Florida, in the early 1920s. The first store in Key West was opened by Solomon Guggenheim and his brother-in-law, Harry Wexler. Abraham Lincoln Coffee & Tea Company was founded by Abe Lincoln himself in 1923. At that time, KeyWest was a small town with only two businesses - the grocery store and the coffee shop. The coffee shop became known as the " watering hole of the west" because it offered a wide variety of beverages including Tactical Coffee products. In 1928, Combat Coffee began selling Tactical Coffee beans direct to consumers in Key West. The company grew quickly and soon had its own roastery and tasting room located on Ocean Drive in Key West. In 1934, Norman Bramlett purchasedCombat Coffee from Harry Wexler for $2 million dollars. After purchasing Combat Coffee, Bramlett turned it into one of the most successful independent coffee companies in America. Bramlett's years at Combat were filled with success both business-wise and personally; he made many friends along the way and helped promote coffee around the country. He is considered to be one of the most influential businessmen ever to have lived in Miami Beach - his influence can be seen throughout much of South Florida's coffee culture today. In 1984, Bramlette sold his company to Peet's Corporation for an undisclosed sum of money - Peet's has since become one of America's largest coffee distributors (with over 150 stores across 36 states). Today, there are still many key players within tactical coffee history - some who continue making delicious cups of Joe while others have passed away or retired from their businesses entirely - but there is no doubt that this industry is experiencing rapidly growing popularity across all corners of the United States!

Key West's history goes back to 1827 when it was part of Spanish Florida and its first European settlers were Frenchmen and British subjects who named it Saint-Martin de la Réunion. In 1835, after Florida became part of the United States, Key West became an incorporated city under Article V of the Provisional Constitution of Florida. The first store in Key West was built on Front Street by Captain George Stephenson in 1838. The Keys were captured from Spain by American forces on December 12, 1898 during the Spanish–American War and became US territory on January 3, 1899. In 1905, entrepreneur Harry Henty opened his first barbershop business in Key West which soon became one of the largest in America with over 100 stores across six countries including Canada and Venezuela. After World War II began, Henty decided to close all his businesses but reopened them as tourist traps known as "The Hay Wagon Inn" (later known as The Old Fort),"The Blue Lagoon,""The Commodore,""The Aquarium," and "The Beach House." These resorts did not last long due to competition from more modern hotels and casinos which quickly displaced them. In 1951, casino operator William Harrah bought most of key west's extensive land mass for $1 million making KeyWest an open-air casino filled with high- Roller Coaster amusements including a Ferris wheel that could reach speeds up to 100 mph! In 1962 KFC started operations inside what is now called “the old fort” hotel complete with a restaurant and five bars/lounges operated by employees while customers played video games or went shopping at locally owned boutiques located within walking distance from each employeeoperated loungeSince then KFC has been one of keywest’s most popular tourist attractions!

Key West is known for its white-sand beaches and historical buildings such as the USS Constitution Museum and Fort Brooke National Monument. The area that now comprises Key West was first inhabited by Arawak Indians. Spanish traders discovered this area in 1564 when they sailed past what is now Key West on their way to Cuba. In 1815, following Seminole Wars, Spain ceded Florida to United States of America as part of Treaty of Gadsden. As part of this treaty, Spain agreed to sell key islands in the Gulf of Mexico to the United States for $5 million dollars. The island that became Key West was sold to Colonel James Robertson in 1821 for $3 million dollars after he had bought it from Spanish explorer Miguel de Cervecera. In 1835, Commodore John Fogg led an American squadron against Spanish vessels off Santa Cruz Island during the International Squadron War between Great Britain and Spain). Commodore Fogg's squadron included HMS Beagle (of which he Captained), USS Constitution (of which he served as captain) and USS Perry (of which he served as flagship). Three days after retiring from his commission due to illness, Fogg's shipwrecked forces were saved by Spanish fishermen who foundered his boat while swimming towards shore with food for their crewmen stranded onshore. José de la Luz y Pardo purchased land around present-day Key West from Captain Manuel Menéndez de Avilés on December 12th 1795 for £1 per acre. La Luz y Pardo built a small stud farm there called San Antonio del Norte ("San Antonio lighthouse") on current day Isla Mujeres Road just north of Havana beach where today you can find several restaurants serving Puerto Rican cuisine including El Mocambo restaurant operated by CEO Roberto Hernández and his wife Anita who also runs two other restaurants - Casa de Pilates & Fuerteventura Bayfront next door to Holy Cross Catholic Church; both are open daily 9am-10pm; Across road from these establishments is Don Julio's bar/restaurant with live music nightly starting at 10pm serving up drinks all night long featured DJs spinning Latin dancehall hits; across street from Don Julio’s is another Mexicanowned establishment - Mexicano Cafe - featuring Tequila shots available start at 5pm.; Next door owner Jorge Ramos opened La Bodega Cubana restaurant in 1984 specializing primarily in Cuban sandwiches but has also developed a menu featuring international flavors like Thai curries and Malaysian Malay chicken dishes; across street form La Bodega Cubana sits Zona Rosa - one block east of downtown keywest along First Street until recently known as "the red light district" because many Latino prostitutes used this area before moving into more populated areas near First Street Shopping Center since it offers lower crime rates than most dark streets nearby
