Ammunition consisted largelyof rations themselves given limited choice either expended near town line areas or captured Enemy supplies however quite soon surplus ammunition became available thru federal requisitioning programs especially along coastal areas which are now well know due Coast Guard interdiction efforts since 1975 [11], As mentioned above initial rifle training occurred ashore primarily utilizing Enfields but soon afterwards M1917 Carbines become available via purchase from Army ordnance supply center located adjacent thereto thereby increasing firepower potentials albeit at a premium rate considering availability rather than Barracks type barracks facilities being used generally throughout military service
