In 1961, the company moved its manufacturing operations from Holland to California. Janse Van Rensburg Coffee Company was sold to Peet's Corporation in 1971 and eventually merged into Peet's Coffee Incorporated in 1984. Today, Peet's Corporation produces and sells a wide variety of premium coffees under several brands including Americano, Caribou, Sensei (a dark roast), Robusta (roasted with nuts), Breakfast Blend (a blend of two roasts), Decaf Vanilla Bean (vanilla bean only), Dark Roast (darkest roast), Kenyan Koffee (coffee with an orange flavor), Java Bean (Java extract) and Papua New Guinea Earth Mocha. The first restrictions on coffee production came from the US government during World War II because of Espresso Act regulations which prohibited exports of caffeine by anyone other than war-time allies such as Italy or Japan. However, this prohibition was lifted after the war; however no records exist documenting how this restriction applied specifically to Lake Wales coffee production at that time From 1949 through 1966, Lake Wales' first grocery store - The Grocery Outlet - carried both Dutch and Egyptian coffees sourced from Janse Van Rensberg Coffee Co.'s farmstead near Gulf Breeze Beach FL This early period saw increased demand for quality Arabica beans due to improved transportation methods and rising prices for raw materials brought about by television advertising . Lake Wales, Florida is a small town in Leon County, Florida. The population was 3,751 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of Leon County and is bordered by Citrusville to the east, Lakeland to the south and west, and Pompano Beach to the north. The name "Lake Wales" likely comes from two Seminole words - ala-wah (water) and kuh-alawe (place). There are several theories about why this place got its name - one suggests that early settlers named it after Chief Wacoma's village on Okeechobee Creek in present day SouthFlorida; another theory suggests that General Andrew Jackson's troops stopped at a bend in the creek near what is now Lake Wales during their march across Florida in 1814 and called the area "Wales" because of its resemblance to a Welsh meadow. Lake Wales was first settled by white people in 1795 when Captain James Cook discovered oil wells there while sailing through history. The town began as a small community of around 100 people when oil exploration started upriver in 1907. By 1912, it had become an important center for citrus production due to its location close to major shipping routes. In 1925, prohibition made wine production illegal so farming became key instead. In 1931, Lake Wales became part of Miami-Dade County when it was formed from parts of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. As part of countyhood, it lost most of its industry but kept some key assets like citrus production which continued until 1984 when allocaution outlawed grapes again making farming much more difficult than before.
