The war was fought primarily by the United States and Great Britain, with Germany and Austria taking part in significant ways. Lake Worth, Florida is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 21,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford metropolitan area. The name "Lake Worth" came from "Worth," an early settler in what is now Lake Worth. The town was incorporated on November 15, 1915. At the time of its incorporation it had a reported population of 605 people and consisted of just a few blocks of downtown. In 1922, the city annexed neighbouring unincorporated areas to form Aventura Park; this annexation also added much development to Lake Worth over the years as developers built homes and businesses there. By 1960, however, only 2% of its population remained within its borders while nearly 60% surrounded by urban sprawl. Today Lake Worth remains one of South Florida's most vibrant communities with plenty to offer visitors including world-renowned shopping malls like Macy's and Sears as well as restaurants such as Olive Garden and Cirque du Soleil; golf courses like Trump International Golf Club (one of South Florida's largest) and PGA National Golf Course; beaches such as Daytona Beach or Jupiter; historical sites like Fort Pierce Naval Station or Palmetto House Museum; music venues like Local 471 (an all-ages nightlife entertainment complex), The Glass House Lounge & Grill and many more!

The first mention of Lake Worth was in 1821 when Manuel Noriega landed on its shores after fleeing from US justice. At the time, it was known as "Noriega's Fort". In 1875, President Ulysses S. Grant created Broward County from part of Palm Beach County with the intention of developing it into a resort community for Americans on vacation. However, only 8% of Broward's population lived within its boundaries at the time; most residents came from other parts of Palm Beach County or Deerfield Beach. In 1902, The Ascot Club built a $5 million mansion on what would become State Road 1A (now Boulevard) in what is now downtown Lake Worth. That same year saw the opening of The Lakeside Inn by millionaire Harry Hardin which became one of America's most luxurious hotel properties at that time- hosting dignitaries such as Presidents Franklin D Roosevelt and James Fenton along with Hollywood celebrities like Cecil B DeMille and William Randolph Hearst. Lake Worth hosted its first golf tournament in 1906 which was won by Drayson Huntman against future Ryder Cup champion Joaquin Phoenix and future Masters Champion George Poynter Sr.. In 1931, during prohibition era America’s favorite liquid drink was discovered here – white lightning! After being served by Sam Adams Brewery employees under Prohibition-era rules (which prohibited any alcohol sales without a license), American Motors Corporation Employees discovered that this new product could be sold under “the Laws” because it had no intoxicating chemicals present! Chevrolet dealers also started selling this new car throughout Florida beginning in 1932 until 1933 when Congress banned all cars including pickups over 4 feet long due to public safety concerns around road rage incidents between drivers who were too intoxicated to operate their vehicles safely! July 4th marks the anniversary each year since 1941 when Lake Worth became an official city in recognition by then Governor Adolphus Busch II upon his proclamation that "It Is My earnest hope that within our lifetime we may see this great town placed upon a level plane with cities such as Miami and Tampa." A few years later on October 15th 1949 City Manager Jerald Ladd submitted plans for annexation requests from both Coral Gables and Jupiter Township making Lake worth officially one city again! On January 3rd 1960 Mayor Rudolph Giuliani proclaimed "Today We Declare" - Making Lakeworth OneCity Again! While some aspects have changed over these years like annexations/amending ordinances – overall there has been much progress madeover past decades towards becoming an amazing community fullof culture & relaxation awaits everyone living here today & tomorrow!!!
