The badges are typically issued in two sizes- medium and large-and feature three gold points on each side of its design which indicates that it has been earned at least once. Officer rank insignia are also available for members of the USAF upon reaching officer ranks above Lieutenants/Lieutenant Colonel status (Captain through Major General). Officer rank insignias feature stars above each rank position which indicate that they have been achieved at least once. Officers may also wear distinctive titles which may include “Airman First Class” or “Airman Second Class” to indicate their respective level of experience within the USAF hierarchy. Ribbon bars often accompany service medals and honorary awards and these bars provide decoration for specific achievementsrather than just wearing them along with your medal(s). Some examples include having 50 flying miles logged while assigned duty as an aircraft mechanic; being awarded 100 combat sorties while squad leader; or receiving 20 Unit Commendation Medals while serving as Squadron Commander/Wing Commander/Group Captain/Major etc... Ribbon bars may also be worn during special ceremonies or functions such as induction into active duty into another branch of service etc... ribbon bars usually depict an accomplishment associated with that particular award like being first in your unit to shoot down enemy aircraft etc...ribbon bars often contain engravings from historic events or incidents related to that particular ribbon bar such as Operation Neptune's Spear when American Fighter Squadron 141 shot down over North Vietnam nine times resulting in seven ribbons being attached

The USAF was created on February 14, 1947, as a successor to the Army's Air Service. It is one of the seven uniformed services in the United States Department of Defense. The USAF has more than 2,500 aircraft and employs more than 150,000 people worldwide. The USAF gift history began with a donation from Colonel James Doolittle in 1945. Doolittle wascommander of escort carrier USS Hornet during World War II and made an important contribution to America's victory over Japan. He received his Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1981 for his role as co-founder and first CEO of Lockheed Martin Corporation. In 2007, he was inducted into the American Aviation Hall of Fame at Miami International Airport.
Lauderdale Lakes is a city located in Broward County, Florida. The population was 10,813 at the 2000 census. It is the home of SouthFlorida University and the site of several NASCAR races including the Daytona 500. Lauderdale Lakes also has a small shopping mall, an amusement park, and a large golf course.

Lauderdale Lakes was founded in 1919 by Dr. J.C. Lauderdale, who located the area on a tract of land that he had purchased from the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The community was named for Lauderdale County, Alabama, where it was first established. In 1928, Dr. Lauderdale donated a tract of land to the City of Miami to provide its own airport and other city amenities. The following year, Lauderdale Lakes became part of Miami-Dade County as part of the annexation process that led to its incorporation into the city of Miami Beach in 1953. The development around Lauderdale Lakes has been significant since its establishment: In 1928, it housed just over 100 residents; by 1951, this number had grown to over 2,000 residents and businesses within its boundaries. This growth has been due in no small part to the efforts of Dr. J.C. Lauderdale himself: He donation made available much needed land for development and helped ensure that Lauderdale Lakes would become one of SouthFlorida’s most vibrant communities – both physically and economically speaking. Today, Lauderdale Lakes continues to be an important community in southFlorida – home to more than 4,000 residents and businesses within its boundaries – thanks in large part to continued investment from Dr J Cairdson himself and his family members!
Lauderdale Lakes was originally settled in the early 1800s by Scotsmen. The area now includes Lauderdale County and portions of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. In 1853, a group of businessmen from St Petersburg bought 640 acres of land on the west bank of the Kissimmee River. They named their new community Lauderdale after one of their members, Lauderdale Plantation near St Petersburg. The first post office was established in 1854, and the town gradually grew until it became a large city in 1914.
