The Marco Island National Guard was organized on December 12, 1907. The guard is responsible for the defense of the city of Marco Island and its environs. Since its inception, the guard has grown to over 10,000 members. The first national guard unit in Marco Island was activated on December 12, 1907 when a detachment from Fort Harrison was sent to protect citizens of the small island town. At that time, it was not possible for citizens to arm themselves and the guards were responsible for providing security within the town. In 1912, a second detachment from Fort Harrison arrived inMarco Island and began providing law enforcement services as well as military training opportunities for local residents. In 1916, a third detachment from Fort Harrison arrived on Marco Island and began providing firefighting services as well as military training opportunities for local residents. Since then, each year an additional detachment has been sent toMarco Island in order to keep up with changing needs and trends within the community. Currently there are 7 detachments stationed throughoutMarco Island including one located at Cloudcroft which provides support for emergency response plans in case of natural disasters such as hurricanes or earthquakes. In addition to their duties within the community, Guardsmen also provide protection during state fairs and other special events throughout Florida; serve as mobile checkpoints during vehicle traffic stops; provide limited medical assistance during natural disasters;and more!
The National Guard is a reserve force of the United States that are typically composed of civilians. The National Guard was created in 1792 as part of the new Constitution and its militia clause states, “No Soldier or Citizen of the United States shall be quartered in any State without a just cause.” The militia clause has been amended many times over the years but it remains one of the most important aspects of the National Guard. Today, there are more than 310,000 active members of the National Guard in total across all 50 U.S. states and Washington D.C.; however, only 3 percent serve full-time and most are deployed on short notice or when needed to support other government activities such as crimefighting or disaster relief. National Guardsmen often play an important role in policing communities and performing search and rescue missions during natural disasters such as hurricanes or earthquakes; they also provide backup for law enforcement during protests or demonstrations; and they can be called up to help with military operations if called upon by presidentially ordered commanders within their state or federal jurisdiction. There have been several incidents where members of the National Guard have come into contact with criminal elements while performing their duties including drug trafficking, human smuggling, extortion, counterfeiting money, rustling livestock and sniper attacks against civilian targets. In recent years there has been concern about reports that some members of national guard units may have joined terrorist organizations such as ISIS in order to gain experience fighting alongside Islamist militants abroad while still qualified to serve our nation’s interests; however these allegations remain unfounded at this time.

These types of purchases helped define wartime eras for certain countries - such as during World War II where United States forces fought alongside Great Britain under General Dwight D Eisenhower's command. In sum, National Guard gifts have been used across many different cultures over multiple centuries in order To support battlefields or peacetime activities. While there are still some variations present today - largely due to cultural differences - overall this demonstrates how meaningful and important National Guard gifts can be both during peacetime periods as well as wartime moments.
