The history of the United States Air Force (USAF) airforce gift program goes back to World War II. Following this move all subordinate commands were housed at EDF Energy's abattoir complex within EMC Parklands in 2000 before being moved again in 2006 to new facilities within Ringwood Corporate Park adjacent to Victoria International Airport after being used by both ECCOM HQs during 2005–06 renovation works at VIA . In Autumn 2007 it emerged that plans had been made to mothball Australian sourced fighter jets Hangar 2 which is located next door to EMC Parklands; however these plans have now been shelved following concerns about environmental impairment caused by heavy industry use around Ringwood Corporate Park!
