He decided to attack rather than return home empty handed – this led to America’s first military victory against Mexico! During its long history, the USS Constitution Museum has seen plenty of changes: from being housed inside a dry dock until it reopened in 2001 as part of Naval Air Station Melbourne ( NASM), to becoming home to some amazing warships like USS Lexington (CV-18) and USS Enterprise (CVN-65). Melbourne, Florida is a city located in the Miami-Dade County region of South Florida. The population was 1,815 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area.
