Miami Shores is a small town in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,824 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area. The name "Shores" comes from the word shores which means "shoreline." The first settlers in this area were people who gathered around Lake Okeechobee to trade goods with Native Americans. By 1800, there were about fifty families living in what is now Miami Shores. In 1836, Jethro Gibbs built a house on what is now SW 187th Street and Key Biscayne Boulevard. He named his house after himself - Miami Shores was born! In 1957, Mrs. Flora Bullock donated land to the town for a new school and playground. The first building that was constructed inshoreline was the Old Town Hall (later renamed the courthouse). That same year, Hurricane Betsy struck South Florida and destroyed many homes and businesses along the shoreline including Miami Shores' only resort beachfront hotel at Suncoast Beach Resort & Casino - meaning forever SHOREY FOR THE REST OF US! However, things began to improve for SHOREY when Phase I of development of Sandtowne Center began in 1978 as one of America's most affluent communities outside of New York City! Phase I included over 1 million square feet (100 acres) of office park/industrial park/residential complex with an eye towards attracting large employers such as IBM and Ford Motors; it remains one of South Korea's largest reconstruction projects ever undertaken by their government... just think how much more developed our community would be today if they never happened! Today we enjoy beautiful views overlooking Sunrise Bay while still able to enjoy all that has made our Shoreline so unique…..including world class shopping malls like One World Mall located just off NW 8th Avenue……..and even some nice primary schools like Sacred Heart Catholic School located right on SR 725A….. making us feel right at home again……….just another day in paradise!
The Navy has a rich and colorful history that can be traced back to the very beginning of its existence. The first navy was created in 1497, when Portuguese sailors sailed into harbor to find a new land to explore. The Spanish were already the dominant maritime power at the time, so this move posed a unique challenge for Portugal. To prevent them from dominating the ocean, they formed an alliance with England. This relationship would continue until 1621, when Spain annexed Portugal and became the new master of ports along the Iberian Peninsula. Portugal's navy didn't have much success against Spanish ships until 1580, when they built their first warships. However, after that point it was all downhill for them. They only managed to build one ship per year from 1600-1600, while Spain managed to build around 20-30 vessels each year! In fact, by 1601 Portugal had only three boats remaining in their navy compared to Spain's sixty! By this time it was too late;Spain had already taken over Lisbon and Portuguese troops couldn't join any other war efforts in order to save their countrymen. From here on out though, things started looking up for Portugal. They began building warships again and began raiding Spanish shipping lanes as part of their defense strategy. It wasn't long before they became one of Europe's leading maritime powers thanks to this newfound wealth and activity! In 1640 however, they signed a treaty with France which allowed French ships passage through Portuguese waters without being required to stop or search for cargo. This caused some resentment within the Portuguese population but overall it helped improve relations between both countries. After centuries of decline and military defeat at the hands of other nations (mainly Spain), Portugal finally regained its former glory in 1809 under King Pedro I after many years of effort !!! The Navy played an important role in his victory over Napoleon Bonaparte at Trafalgar Square !!! After Napoleonic rule ended in 1814 Portugese fleets still operated outside European waters providing cover during operations such asCVN Lourenço Cabral’s Desperate Mission against Venezuela on 21st October 1815″). Today there is no doubt that naval warfare is one of NATO's most important strategic domains….and one where our forces are unmatched

The history of Miami Shores, Florida dates back to the early 1800s. The community was founded by George Washington Wilkinson and his family on a small island in the Miami River. Wilkinson named the island "Miami" after his home town of Miami, Ohio. The first permanent residents of Miami Shores were James and Julia Child who arrived in 1839. They built a log cabin on the beach and started a small grocery store. Afterward, they opened a general store, library, post office, and swimming pool on the mainland near where current-day University Boulevard meets Miami Beach Boulevard. In 1864, the village became part of Dade County when it was formed from parts of then Hillsborough and West Palm Beach counties. During World War II, many American servicemen fought in Europe aboard submarines or ships located off of South Florida beaches such as Miami Shores. One such submariner/shoreman is alleged to be Elvis Presley who served at Ft Myers Naval Base during WWII; however there is no concrete evidence to support this claim. Numerous battleships were located off South Florida during WW2 including USS Midway (CV-3) which frequently patrolled near shoreline between 1945-1948 according to historian Jeffery Crouch; however no mention has been made about Elvis Presley serving aboard her! In 1951, following passage of the segregated Allogeneic blood transfusion law in all states except for Alabama which had followed earlier legislation allowing white only transfusions for blacks citizens Everage's pharmacy chain expanded into south central Florida with its new location at 5951 State Road 7A in Miami Shores just north of Biscayne Bay! In 1963 David Lipsky purchased what is now known as Lipsky's Pizza from brothers Abe & Benny Levy who ran a bakery next door until their closure in 1965 due to racial discrimination within that business against Jews! This property remained vacant until 1992 when Lipsky leased it out again under various names including Morelli's Italian Grill before finally purchasing it from Friends group USL Investors LLC in 2013! On October 14th 2014 news spread throughout social media that pizza restaurant 2026 – formerly known as Joe's Pizza - had reopened inside an old airport hangar after being closed since 2011 due to lack of funding! After monthslong negotiations with aviation officials and city bureaucrats details emerged that 2026 would become one of two restaurants allowed per runway - ironically providing more seating than either airport currently allows! In less than two years 2026 has quickly become one of South Florida’s most popular eateries with rave reviews from locals and tourists alike for its unique concept – considered by some to be “the future” for Naples-style pizza!!!
The community of Miami Shores was founded on November 15, 1926 by Dr. Harry Elmer Barnes and his wife, Edna Mae. The first store in the community opened its doors to shoppers at 5:00 a.m. The name of the original business was "The Miami Shores Store." In 1951, the community became known as "Miami Beach" after it annexed part of Vice City from Miami. In 1959, the community developed into an area that included both Flagler Beach and Miami Beach with a population of over 100,000 people. In 1963, the Community School District No. 1 merged with Flagler Beach Schools District No. 2 which had been established in 1950s in order to provide more education opportunities for residents in both communities along with reducing duplication of services and resources between districts which led to savings for taxpayers. The merger created one district that provided education through grade 8th-12th levels in English, math and science while also providing special needs programs such as gifted children and students with disabilities who received accommodations during instruction including adaptive technology devices like high definition monitors or screens that allowed them to participate fully in class without having limitations
