The Miramar Shooter's Gift History begins in December of 1999 with a shotgun. In November of 2000, the shooter purchased an automatic rifle. In October of 2001, the shooter bought a handgun. In September of 2002, the shooter purchased ammo for his automatic rifle.
Miramar is a town located in Broward County, Florida. The population was 33,371 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood metropolitan area. The name "Miramar" comes from Spanish "Mira", meaning "look". The word was given to this place by Captain José Antonio Miró, who saw an alligator in Miramar Creek and named it after the swampy region around Miami Beach. In 1887, Easton A. Bogue developed what would become Miramar as a citrus grove and plantation estate. On September 14, 1909, Fenton J. Butler purchased Bogue's land and founded Castleberry Farms, Incorporated with Dr. John Hinson as its first president and owner/manager (the first such company in America). In 1916, Major General William Tatum established Palm Beach County jail on property now occupied by CVS Pharmacy at Southeastern Boulevard and Sunrise Highway (now State Road 727). At that time it was one of the largest jails in America. In 1924 Gertrude Stein wrote her famous poem "Country Roads" about driving from Key West toFort Lauderdale through Miramar Country Club where she spent her summer holidays with her mother and sister: "…and country roads that lead you no where / There are none like them in all of Florida"… Brigadier General Winton Meeks served as Commanding Officer for American Forces Europe during World War II; he brought peace to Europe through his Operation Neptune's Spear which destroyed Dresden on February 17th 1945 just before Japan's surrender ceremony! The United States Coast Guard Station Miramar operated out of NAS Miramar from 1951 until 1976 when they transferred to NAS Hollywood Beach; eventually they moved back to NAS Miramar again from 2006-2010 due to growing Navy activity along South Florida’s shorelines.. According to the 2000 US Census there were 26 people residing in households within 1 mile of any beach or water feature in Broward County including both inside and outside city limits! This number increased by 10% since 2002 when only 21 people resided within 1 mile of any beach or water feature according to USGS analysis!!
