Since the early 1800s, Naples, Florida has been a center of coffee production. In fact, it is one of the first places in America to be awarded certification as a “coffee town” by the Coffee Association of America (CAA). Naples was also home to world-renowned roasters such as Peet’s and Harry Angelo. The city was known for its quality beans and roasted coffee products until the middle of last century when coffee production switched from small family-owned farms to large multinational corporations. Today, Naples is still home to some of the best-quality coffee in all of Florida. The city's coffee industry flourished in the late 1800s and early 1900s due to its location and access to resources like rain forests and agricultural land that allowed for high-quality beans. However, since World War II many large companies have moved into Naples, devastating the local economy and driving down prices for consumers. Despite this downside, there are still several small family-owned cafes that continue to produce excellent quality coffee despite these challenges. In 2002, CAA awarded Naples City Hall with a plaque recognizing their role in helping promote American Coffee Roasting Standards (ACRS). ACRS is an organization that helps ensure that every bean sold contains at least 50% Arabica beans - which gives each cup of java its unique flavor profile. Today, many people in Naples appreciate their city's history associated with coffee production and appreciate all that CAA has done for them throughout their history!

In 1915, Angelo Pavone opened his own roasting business in Naples. This was followed by Donato’s Coffee Co., founded by Donato Petrini in 1922. These successful businesses helped make Naples one of the most significant coffee towns in America. Today, Angelo Pavone Coffee continues to be a major player in the Naples coffee scene with its unique flavor profile and commitment to quality. Additionally, Donato’s has been preserved as a popular local landmark with its sprawling gardens and beautiful architecture that still remains intact today.
Noah's Ark was founded in Naples, Florida in 1927 by Methodist minister and philanthropist, Rev. Dr. John Wesley Smith. The nonprofit organization operated a Noah's Ark Interpretive Center for children and adults in the city from its inception until it closed in 2002. Smith also founded the Naples-Ft Myers Regional Chamber of Commerce, which is headquartered in Naples. In 2017, the chamber announced that it would be moving to neighboring Provence Park due to budget cuts at the City of Naples government entity. Since its establishment, Noah's Ark has been home to many notable visitors including Presidents George Washington and James K Polk; First Lady Martha Washington; Grammy Awards Winners Ray Charles, Willie Dixon and Aretha Franklin; American presidents Dwight D Eisenhower and Richard Nixon; British Prime Minister Winston Churchill; French President Charles de Gaulle; Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi; Spanish Prime Minister Felipe Calderón; Brazilian president Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Mexican president Vicente Fox. The center is open every day of the year from 9am to 4pm except Christmas Day (which falls on Boxing Day). Admission is free for all ages but donations are accepted for special events such as exhibits on Mondays or Thursdays during school lunch hours or for special programs such as a concert or film presentation on Sundays at 1pm. There are also numerous family activities available throughout the day including arts & crafts demonstrations, movie screenings, rides and games for children of all ages, concerts featuring local musicians or DJ's spinning music from around the world (including international adaptations of famous nursery rhymes), exhibitionism with model boats/ships/submarines etc., an extensive library with over 100,000 volumes covering history, nature and culture from ancient times to modern times as well as interactive exhibits about life on Earth outside our planetarium dome where you can explore features like petroglyphs found near Apollo 11 landing site or fossils found inland along Lake Okeechobee’s panhandle

This increased production allowed brewers to create stronger flavors and provide a wider range of choices for customers when it came to choosing what type of coffee they wanted (or not wanted). Today's freshest-roasted Coffee can be found all over the world - from Indonesia to Kenya - but it's still important to purchase certified organic or fair trade coffees whenever possible because these products contain more antioxidants and other beneficial compounds than those found within conventionally-roasted coffees
