In that time, small businesses and people have come together to create and manage their own coffee operations. This tradition is something that we take seriously at our shop, The French press café. Our origins date back to the early 1920s when C.J. Beasley started importing Italian beans from Rome. He began selling them at his grocery store in Niceville and soon became known as the “King of Coffee” in the area. These days, we continue this legacy by serving quality coffee delivered fresh to your doorstep every day!

The first coffee shop in Niceville was called the Roastery on Elm. It was opened by a couple of friends in 1984. The original roastmasters were Tom and Kathy Hickey. In 1992, they bought the old Coffee House building and reopened as the Beans & Brews Coffee Shop. In 2006, they bought the adjacent property and reopen as The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
Niceville is a city in Franklin County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,524 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area. Niceville is located on the Gulf coast and is adjacent to Pinellas County to the north and just east of Brevard County to the south. Niceville's ZIP code is 32609. The town was founded by white settler John Nice in 1836 as an all-black community called Indian Town, following his purchase of 640 acres (250 hectares) of land from Seminole Indians in that year. The town served as a stop on the Underground Railroad during the Civil War because it could not be counted on for military service due to its lack of white settlers. After Union forces destroyed Indian Town in 1865, African Americans were forced out of Niceville and most likely other parts of Florida until Reconstruction ended in 1877. In 1907, Captain James Worthy purchased 1,000 acres (500 hectares) northeast of NiceVILLE from J.C.[1] which became known as Crescent City Ranch after nearby Crescent City developed around it; Worthy donated it to charity in 1910 as a way to shuttle people between Jacksonville and Fort Myers for medical treatment without having them cross state lines en route. In 1927, he sold 1/3 interest in Crescent City Ranch[2] to developer Dolphus Hearnson for $5 million which made him one of first black millionaires in America – later adding riverboats and planes into his list of businesses interests). He also built what remains today one of only two wooden churches remaining standing along Florida's east coast (the other being St Augustine’s Cathedral).[3][4][5] Hearnson died suddenly in 1967 before completing any significant piecesCB&I Corp took over ownership after Hearnson’s death but never completed building project)[6]. A few years later with plans still incomplete some locals started calling themselves "The Hermit Colony" due to lack of amenities like water or power available outside their immediate area so they began prepping emergency supplies including food storage facilities while others started construction on a small brick courthouse,[7][8][9][10] finally finished in 1975 when CB&ICorp moved into their new headquarters across from Interstate 75 just east off US 41 near SR 740 exit #92.[11][12]: nicevilleflorida

The tornado was one of the deadliest tornadoes in history and has been credited with changing the way people live in central Florida.
