The North Lauderdale Army National Guard's History Museum is a non-profit organization that archives and preserves military history in Broward County, Florida. The museum was founded in 1984 by retired Lt. Col. Bill Burch and current Brigadier General Rick D'Angelo. The museum has collection of over sixty-five thousand items, including uniforms, weaponry, combat vehicles, and more. The North Lauderdale Army National Guard's History Museum is located at the former Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport property on Northwest Seventh Avenue in North Lauderdale. The museum opened its doors to the public on September 5th of 1984. At that time, it was the first national guard history museum open to the general public in South Florida. In 1992, the Miami Herald profiled the then-new Fort Lauderdale airport as one of America's "10 Most Interesting Places To Visit". That same year, then-Brigadier General Rick D'Angelo became head curator for the museum and led an effort to increase donations from local businesses and individuals to help keep the museum operational. In 2003, Brigadier General Rick D'Angelo was promoted to Major General and served as Commander of Training Division 3rd Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) from 2006 until his retirement in 2009. Since its inception, the North Lauderdale Army National Guard's History Museum has collected over sixty five thousand items fromBroward County military veteran’s barracks across nine counties including: Broward County; Palm Beach County; West Palm Beach County; Monroe County; Miami Beach City Mayor Carlos Gimenez announced plans for a $5 million renovation of both museums which included new displays about sergeant major James Loebsen who fought in World War II with distinction before he joined up with Company G of 4th Infantry Regiment/2nd Battalion/1st Marines based at Camp Lejeune during Operation Neptune’s Spear – Battle Of Guadalcanal Inaugurated on September 5th 1984 by Lieutenant Colonel Bill Burch with assistance from brigadier generalRick D’angelo - now Major General Rick D’Angelo -the North Lauderdale Army National Guard's History Museum began collecting blood stained US Marine Corps Uniforms back when anyone could walk into any FtLauderdale store without breaking laws! The North Lauderdale, Florida Army Garrison was established in 1892 as the Fort Worth Infantry Regiment. In 1917, it became the 3rd Battalion of the 27th Infantry Regiment and then the 1st Battalion of the 151st Infantry Regiment. It was redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 24th Infantry Brigade on 11/11/1967 and redesignated again as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 9th Infantry Brigade on 6/1/1973. It was redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion (Lance), 25th Infantry Division on 12/1/1991.

North Lauderdale, Florida is located in Broward County, Florida and was founded on May 24th, 1959. North Lauderdale is a city with a population of over 60,000 people. It is the county seat for Broward County and it also has a small area within Palm Beach County. The city of North Lauderdale was built on land that had been used by the Fort Lauderdale Indians since the 1800s. The first European to visit what is now North Lauderdale was Captain James Cook in 1795. When the U.S. purchased Florida from Spain in 1821, General Andrew Jackson made North Lauderdale the state capital of Jacksonville because he wanted to show Americans that he was not afraid of them. AfterJackson's death in 1844, his widow ordered all Indian artifacts be destroyed so that no one would know they existed and this helped start the development of North Lauderdale as an American town. In 1860, John Suggs started selling sawmills here which helped make this area one of the most important sawmills on Long Island Sound. Eventually other businesses followed suit and by 1920 there were more than 25 mills operating in this area alone! By 1925, there were over 100 housing units being built here! At this time, African Americans began moving into what is now South Parker Heights during the 1930s when construction began on many new neighborhoods throughout Miami-Dade County! During World War II, many black men worked at munitions plants across South Florida; however they were not allowed to vote or hold office until after 1947 when they became citizens of their communities! In 1955, two brothers named Edward Suggs and Julius Lester bought 1/2 mile(0 km²)of land east of current day Northwest 16th Street (now NW 87th Avenue) from Samford University for $1 million dollars making it one of America's largest tracts ever sold at public auction! They immediately began developing their new community which became known as "The Lakes". This community consisted mainly of single family homes with tennis courts and basketball courts just outside their doors! Today you can find several businesses still active in this neighborhood including Edward Suggs' sonfredry store which reopened its doors three years ago after being closed for nearly 20 years!. As well as check cashing places such as Dollar General and Winn-Dixie along with several churches including First Baptist Church which opened back up in 1984!, many restaurants have been established such as PNC Park Grill & Pub whichopened its doors in 1989., Johnny Rockets located uptown near Sawgrass Mall etc.? This thriving economy led to high levels of education for Hispanics who constituted almost 50% (1982)of total residents aged 25-54 years old according to 2000 census data!! Many jobs are available here including sales jobs at Sears Holdings Corp., FedEx Field etc.? One thing that has always remained unchanged about North Lauderdale has been its close relationship with both its sister cities - Coral Springs (to the south), Plantation (to the north)and Hollywood (to the west). Each year representatives from each city meet together to share ideas various projects or events are planned for either city center or specific areas within each other City? As well as hosting numerous festivals each summer such as Taste OfBroward festival held every Memorial Day weekend featuring local artists and vendors plus games like cornhole tournaments etc.? There are also monthly beer gardens sponsored by local breweries like Wicked Weed Brewing Company which opened up last year next to Pompano Beach Pier? And finally we must mention our annual Christmas parade which takes place annually down Northwest 16th Street starting around 6pm ensuite live streaming onto Facebook Live ?? All these activities help keep things interesting for everyone involved ???
North Lauderdale, Florida was founded on November 3, 1895 by J.C. Bledsoe and John A. Robertson. The community was named for General James P. Hickey who helped lead the Union army during the American Civil War. North Lauderdale quickly grew to become a major center of commerce and industry in the area and soon became known as "The Glitter City." In 1925, North Lauderdale was renamed Miami Beach after then-Mayor Manuel L. Key's proclamation naming it a " town of beauty." North Lauderdale continued to grow rapidly throughout the 1930s until its population reached over 100,000 by 1940. During World War II, North Lauderdale played an important role in the defense of Florida along with many other Jacksonville communities. After the war ended, North Lauderdale experienced rapid growth through its new incarnation as a bedroom community for South Miami and Overtown areas
