North Palm Beach, Florida is a small town located in Palm Beach County, Florida. The population was 20,083 at the 2010 census. The town is bordered by West Palm Beach to the north and east, Jupiter to the south and west, and Boca Raton to the northwest. North Palm Beach is part of the Coconut Grove neighborhood of West Palm Beach. The land that makes up North Palm Beach was first settled by Native American people in early colonial times. In 1834, George Washington Key III donated land here for a school district called Keyesville School District No. 2. Keyesville closed its doors in 1957 after one hundred years of operation. Today's North Palm Beach began as a sheep farming community named Dutch Valley when it was established near present-day Boca Raton in 1903. In 1969, developer Harold Wertheimer bought 125 acres from David Susser for $1 million which he plans to develop into an upscale condominium complex and shopping center known as "The Village". The project received final approval from city officials on November 3rd of that year; however groundbreaking never took place due to financial difficulties caused by economic recession at the time. On January 1st of 2006, Mayor Neil Patrick Steele announced his intention to run for office again after being elected mayoralty representative three years earlier with only 31% of the vote against him – making him one of only two candidates (the other being then-Councilwoman Laura Richardson) who were not running during President George Bush's first term as president because they opposed any kind of government spending increase or cuts which would have impacted their constituents' budgets especially those within their own wards/cities/towns! Steele ran unopposed for reelection on October 6th 2006 amidst much controversy surrounding his decision not to seek re-election despite having been elected with less than 50% percent of total votes cast! His campaign website says "I am committed to fighting for what's best for my residents - whether it’s cutting wasteful government programs or increasing affordable housing opportunities." North Palm Beach is a small town in Palm Beach County, Florida. The population was 7,906 at the 2010 census. North Palm Beach is located on the north bank of the Intracoastal Waterway and has a population density of . It is bordered by Lake Worth to the east, Boynton Beach to the south, West Palm Beach to the west and Davie to the north. The first European settlers in what is now North Palm Beach were French colonists who arrived in 1765. Part of Fort Dade Parish, they built a stockaded fort on present-day Boulevard du Forum from 1768 to 1772 as part of their attempt to protect their land from English settlement. The British captured Fort Dade during America's Revolutionary War on November 15, 1775 and moved into what is now North Palm Beach Township on December 12th. The British set up gun emplacements along both banks of Road 1 which divided palms and citrus trees between them as part of their defense system; these remain visible today near Antique Avenue and US 1/1A (now Boulevard du Forum). In 1814 Nicholas Czarnecki donated 2 acres (0.8 km²) in what is now North Palm Boulevard for use as a public square; this area became known as "Czarnecki Square." In 1867 George Washington Carver founded Carver School District No. 182 which included parts of what are now North Palm Boulevard, Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach and Harbour Townships; these areas became Carver Elementary School District No.; however, portions were later annexed by neighboring West palm beach district until it was replaced by North palm beach district in 1972 when that subdivision was organized into its own municipal government. In 1906 Captain J W Woolridge donated 350 acres (160 hectares) within present-day boundaries of NorthPalmBoulevard for development into Villages Park with roads leading out from it including Broward Blvd., Flagler Ave., US 1/1A & I-95E Prior to World War II there was no such thing as an incorporated municipality in Florida so development proceeded unchecked without any form or regulation; This led eventually to problems such as overdevelopment which began becoming evident with increasing populationsdensity while resources continued being diverted away from natural preservation methods like water recycling because developers could not afford proper infrastructure or permits In 1950s Dr John Pimentel purchased much needed land adjoining Harbor Townships east side for use as golf course but never lived there because he died soon after purchase despite offers for him to move his family there: When his wife found out about this she sued Pimentel's estate but lost cause due%% Later on Dr John's son bought back all prior rights% After that date until present day most activities taking place around Harborside have been conducted through either northwest palm beach city hall or carter school district offices where necessary
