In 1904, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jaffe established the first roasting company in Ocala after finding a small plantation of Arabica beans on the riverbank. The beans were ground into coffee and sold from their roasting shop on US-41 between US-71 and US-192. By 1922, the company had expanded to three locations - one at 624 S Orange Ave., one at 12th Avenue South, and one at 141 N State Road 21A - making it one of the biggest coffee companies in central Florida. In 1938, King George VI made his famous speech at Jacksonville's Winter Garden Theatre praising coffee as "the national drink" and calling for more investment in its production across the United Kingdom. This led to increased demand for cup of Joe throughout the UK – which lead to further expansion by owners Mr & Mrs Jaffe who now operate over 30 stores across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland with a network of warehouses across Europe. Ocala, Florida is a city in Suwannee County, Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico. The population was 54,871 at the 2010 census. Ocala is part of the Tallahassee–Jacksonville metropolitan area. The first permanent European settler in what would become Ocala was James K. Polk who landed there with his family on October 12, 1835. When Spanish explorers discovered this area in 1539 they named it "Ybor." In 1845 Ybor became part of United States territory and was renamed Ocala after General John C. Polk's brother-in-law and political advisor to President Franklin D. Roosevelt and future Chairman of the Federal Reserve System, Andrew Mellon. In 1905 Jacksonville annexed much of Suwannee County creating what is today known as Jacksonville Beach; however Suwannee County retained ownership over all but 3 square miles (10 km2) of land within its borders which included present day Ocala proper including the western bank of the Kissimmee River where downtown now stands (the remaining portion became part of Tallahassee). For many years there were efforts by both sides to merge these two counties into one entity but no agreement could be reached until 1959 when then-Governor George Wallace signed Executive Order 9406 consolidating their functions into one government under a new name - "Suwannee County". On January 1st 1961 Ocala incorporated as a municipality; Mayor Jernigan having been elected to that office November 4th following an election held on December 8th previous year during which more than 50% of registered voters cast ballots. On January 1st 1962 City Hall opened its doors for business with Mayor Jernigan presiding over operations from that point forward until his death on February 1st 1978 just shy of his seventieth birthdayanniversary! Aldermen Noland and Gurney served unofficially until May 1973 when both resigned due to health concerns stemming from service commitment in Vietnam while also serving concurrently as city commissioners; Noland's term expired prior to expiration date set for him by law and Gurney's term expired prior to re-election being certified by commission because he had not completed 30 days residency requirements – thus defeating any run for reelection allowed under local ordinance at that time! A total population growth rate during those years stood at 2%. This increase can largely be attributed to increases in agricultural production brought about by increased demand for water supplies resultant from land development such as Palm Mall developments adjacent Interstate 85 across from downtown; Opal Creek radio station located east off I-85 opposite mile marker 154 north near US Highway 27 exit #1; construction associated with Anchor Bay Marina located west off I-4 adjacent State Road 327 just south/westof mile marker 316 between Branch Line Road north and US Highway 192) bringing additional jobs opportunities directly or indirectly related thereto: While other development occurred primarily along interstate highways providing limited access or no access whatsoever to developing areas thereby impacting growth rates significantly! As mentioned earlier housing shortages existed throughout the 1980s through early 1990s due primarily to continued high demand relativeto available supply resulting in prices well outran cost Real Estate markets particularly affecting lower income families seeking affordable dwelling units not only within walking distance but close enough so they could enjoy outdoor activities without hosting extra expenses!: The problem has worsened markedly since Hurricane Andrew struck September 25th 1992 causing extensive damage & loss/damage awards exceeding $200 million statewide!!

In 1886, Italian explorer Luigi Levallois discovered Java's Second City while exploring Indonesia's Sunda Strait. After tastingJava's famous black pepper bean for the first time, he returned to Italy with valuable information about Indonesian coffee trees and roast methods. This led to a new era of international trade as traders transported different types of crops and coffees between Europe and Asia using ships called "cafes." In 1905, American engineer Theodore Roosevelt became president of United States after serving as its vice president under John F Kennedy. Roosevelt was interested in promoting renewable energy sources such as solar power so he ordered his antitrust bureau to investigate how electric companies were monopolizingthe trade in electricity pipes across America (known then as Transmission System Administration). As a result of this investigation, Roosevelt issued an executive order prohibiting electrical monopolies within fifty miles of any fuel storage plant
