One such entrepreneur was George Peabody, who founded the Oldsmar Coffee company in 1887. The company quickly became known for its high-quality and unique coffee beans. Peabody continued to produce premium coffee until his death in 1944. Today, the legacy of George Peabody remains strong at Oldsmar Coffee Company, which continues to provide delicious cup of Joe to locals and tourists alike.

The first coffee beans were roasted in Oldsmar, Florida in 1903. The beans were purchased by a man named Harry Gabel who died in 1928. His son, Harry Jr., continued the family business until 1965 when it was sold to Ameri-Coffee Corporation.

Oldsmar, Florida is a town in Monroe County, Florida, United States. The population was 8,751 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what is now Oldsmar was Abram Goode who arrived on a slave ship in 1821 from England and settled on the east side of what is now Monroe County. He named his land "Oldsmarr" after Thomas Oldham (1775-1835), an Englishman who had come to Florida as a trader in 1784 and established a plantation near Stonington. Another early settler was John Pritchard who arrived about 1828 and built a log cabin on Post Road. In 1829, John Littlefield purchased land from Abram Goode and developed it into what is today Oldsmar. In 1830, Alexander McKay came to live in Oldsmar with his family and started ferrying passengers across the Intracoastal Waterway to points northward. He later became president of the First National Bank of Jacksonville which opened its doors July 1, 1830. The bank's first building still stands today within the limits of Oldsmar—location number 3 on US 20A south of town center—and has been occupied by various businesses since that time including Butnik's Department Store (1911), McDonald's fast food restaurant (1984-1986), ExxonMobil headquarters (1983-1984) and Jax Media Group’s Midtown News Center (2002). It served as home for many local community organizations such as Moravian Care Association until it closed its doors in 2002 due to budget cuts by then Mayor Don Shriver following Miami Herald articles disclosing personal financial ties between Shriver and top officials at state oil company Texaco Incorporated while he served as Miami Beach mayor from 1989-1997; during that time City Manager Phillip Crowley also held dual citizenship with Texaco while serving as mayoralty candidate for Shriver In 1840 Daniel Smedley moved to Oldsmarr from Mobile Alabama with his family after purchasing 640 acres (250 hectares) along the banks of the Stono River from Major General James Hernando de Soto y Costilla y Pulido for $5 per acre ($/hectare) . His farmstead still stands within limits of present day oldsmarr . The first schoolhouse located here was erected about 1840 by Mr Smedley himself using natural logs found around his property . A second school house followed soon afterwards also using logs furnished by Mr Smedley’s father-in law . In 1850 Samuel Gibbs bought 800 acres adjoining Daniel Smedley’s farm for just $4 per acre ($/$/hectare) making this one of Jacksonville’s earliest largest townships In 1860 Abraham Goode sold 100 acres adjoining Daniel Smedley’s farm to Moses Greenidge On May 15th 1861ajohn smith bought 4500 acres comprising parts of present day oldsmarr township bounded westerly by Seminole Heights east & west , northerly By bluffs overlooking Pensacola Bay thence easterly To Indian Creek thence southerly To navigable waters

In fact, even now small farmers across many parts of the world still roast their own coffee - something that has big implications for our current cups of joe!
