Oldsmar is a small town in Polk County, Florida and has been coffee country for over 100 years. The first coffee beans were grown on the property of James Olds in 1892. In the early 1900’s, Coffee Factor began roasting and selling coffee in Oldsmar. The company was acquired by Peet’s Coffee Company in 1916 and continued to operate under that name until it merged with Roasters Trust Co., Inc. in 1977. At that time, Oldsmar was among the few towns in Florida to have its own roaster/cafeteria combo, serving up fresh roasted coffee everyday from morning until night. The history of small batch coffee is deeply embedded into the culture of Oldsmar and throughout Polk County. The local grocery store which served as the mainstay of daily caffeine needs for many residents during those days was known for stocking a wide variety of small batch java products such as gourmet espresso beans, dog biscuits (or “snacks”), Dutch waffles, churros, hot dogs and more – all made fresh on-store every day! It wasn’t until after World War II when things changed somewhat – thanks largely to Prohibition – and grocery stores became less common places where people could get their caffeine fix before work or school started. However, even today there are still several local grocers who dedicate themselves exclusively to retailing smallbatch coffee products including Bodega Café & Coffee House located just off US 1 near Gulfport; MidFlorida Java located at 601 W Fairbanks Ave.;and Creamy Beans & More at 9392 US Hwy 34 West #B1 (just inside Gulfport). During prohibition days, many people living around Polk County turned to smuggling illegal cigarettes across the border into Alabama so they could purchase large quantities of quality Brazilian coffees from Sonora Country Coffee Cooperative Ltd., one of the largest smuggling organizations operating at that time. This operation yielded some truly amazing coffees including an Ecuadorian Sumatra called “The Flying Dutchman” purchased by one resident during prohibition for $5 per pound! Today we can enjoy these same rare & unique coffees while enjoying classic Americana like iced tea or hot chocolate made with our signature dark roast Turkish Coffees!

Oldsmar Coffee began in 1916 as a small, family-owned business. The coffee was roasted and sold by the Oldsmar family until it closed in 1978. During its time, Oldsmar Coffee produced some of Florida's most popular brands such as First National, White Eagle, and Floridian.
Oldsmar is a city in Monroe County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,362 at the 2010 census. Oldsmar is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area and is located on the eastern edge of the Everglades National Park. The town was founded by pioneers in 1884 and named after Colonel George W. Olds, an American officer who had served with distinction during the Seminole Wars and as military governor of what is now Florida. The first post office was opened in 1886. The name "Oldsmar" originated from a plat map of the area that showed a small community called "Oddsmar" between present-day Monroe Street and Pensacola Bay. Colonel Olds donated land for development which became known as Fort Myers Beach Boulevard today's State Road 821 near Orange Blossom Trail (old US 41) east of I-75/SR-2 in downtown Oldsmar. In 1907, construction began on what would become one of Jacksonville's most famous landmarks: Jacksonville Landing on Waterfront Drive south of old US 441/SR-1 (now SR-821). At that time it was one of only a few real estate developments completed within reach ofJacksonville's major thoroughfares - until then much of Jacksonville lay scattered along bayous or inland waterwayside communities such as Morningside Heights and Belleair East. Downtown Jacksonville gradually emerged from its rural origins to become one of Jacksonville's vibrant business districts during this period . In early 1911 Naval Base Camp Beaches Preparatory School moved into its current site across Meeting Place from Ft Myers Beach Boulevard off Waterfront Drive just north of SR 821; Camp Beaches would later become Navy Station Miami when it relocated to Clearwater Naval Air Station in 1967 In 1932 Eisenhower established White Sands Missile Range northeast corner Of Airport Blvd NW & I-95 exit EBAshelf Rd NW Topeka Dr NW & US 95 exit WDWNR – modern day Vandenberg AFB This establishes missile range boundaries for all future U S Military sites including Cape Canaveral AFB

Oldsmar, Florida is a city located in Monroe County, Florida, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 37,527. The city is named after Captain Samuel Olds who surveyed and mapped the area in 1824. Jacksonville was founded by Spanish settlers in 1795 and became a sleepy town until Revolutionary War-era military veterans decided to move into what would eventually become Jacksonville. During the early 1800s citrus production began to grow in this area so a small community was formed called Pinellas Keys which developed around an orange grove on New Key West Road. In 1836 Jacksonville was moved from its original location near St Johns River to land along Gulf Coast that had been leased from Spain. On October 3rd of that year General James Wilkinson burned down part of downtown Jacksonville as he tried to stop Indians from raiding plantations near Fort Brooke on December 7th of that year and it marked the beginning of Jaguars development as an important port on the Gulf Coast. On January 1st, 1868 Oldsmar was incorporated as a town within Monroe County with $5K worth of bonds issued for its incorporation and by 1840 it had reached 10,000 residents. The first white child born in Oldsmar was Baby Jane McCullough on November 25th, 1889 when Josephine (Dorothy) McCullough gave birth to her at home to Mrs Buchanan who also took care of Baby Jane’s mother during her confinement days because Mrs Buchanan could not leave home due to tuberculosis she contracted while working at Taylor’s Piano Store across Tampa Bay During prohibition Prohibitionist laws were enforced here more harshly than anywhere else in America and violence against innocent people increased especially because law enforcement officials could only afford one or two pistols each instead of being able purchase many like they did elsewhere In 1933 post-apocalyptic conditions started developing here due to severe hurricanes such as Floyd which devastated much higher populated areas across Southeast Florida The old townsite now known as Oldsmobile Center overlooks I-75 exit 5 southbound just east of mile marker 478 eastbound between US 101/SR 417/US 74
