The project organizers are comprised of members of the USAF community who have volunteered their time and energy to help make this information available. The Air Force Deployed Gift History project has amassed over 5,000 items since it was first initiated. Many of these items are from donated items or individual donations made by AFB member’s friends and family. Additionally, many items were gathered through online searches or through contributions from AFGHP members who were stationed at various Military installations around the world. Many individuals who contribute to the AFDGH project are active duty airmen and spouses who join the USAF for a variety of reasons including deployments, assignments, or rotations with different unit/ formations within our military service. Their contributions range from providing insight on an individual’s deploymenthistory such as “Where I Stationed During My Duty Years” (for those deploying for multiple tours), to sharing pictures or memories about their deployments along with any special gear they may have brought home with them (e.g., camera equipment). These contributors represent not only our military but also our civilian population which is represented by thousands of active duty airmen across America that serve their country every day without regard to rank or station in life; they are all heroes!

Oviedo, Florida is a city in Sarasota County,Florida, United States. The population was 11,930 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa–St Petersburg–Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area. Oviedo has been inhabited by Native American peoples for over two thousand years and was once known as "The Great Citrus Capital of the World." In 1821, Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto discovered this small village on the east coast of now-Venezuela and named it San Fernando de Oviedo after his patron saint. In 1875, Oviedo became a municipio (municipality) with its own government and economy under the leadership of José María Gil de Asís y Aguirre y Gasca. The first post office in Oviedo opened in 1886. By 1909, most residents had moved away from what was then known as "the virgin forest" to build streetcar lines that connected downtown with other villages across Sarasota County. The town's first school opened on October 25th 1907. A fire destroyed much of downtown in 1916 but did not stop development; new buildings were constructed quickly to replace lost structures. The early 20th century saw some growth due to phosphate mining operations which led to increased tourism and commerce while also creating many jobs statewide especially around Pinellas County proper; however following World War II there continued significant decline throughout much of Sarasota County as industries went out of business or were relocated offshore resulting in little job creation within any municipality save for a few high-end renamed developments like Harbour Town located on Lake Worth Boulevard that still remain today despite numerous changes throughout their history including being razed by Hurricane Irma in 2018 A new era for Oviedo began when it become an incorporated city under state law effective January 1st 1959 with incorporation ceremonies held at City Hall followed by dinner at Stelios' tavern where Mayor Angelo Ponzi made his decision granting incorporation status to what would be called simply "Oviedo". With growthkinder came more services such as parks and libraries which have since grown into one large complex housing various municipal agencies along with both public and private businesses which continue to call Oviedo home today making it one of the most vibrant cities within reach no matter your income level or location
