Gourmet Coffee has been a part of the Palmetto Bay community for over thirty years. The coffee company was founded by Tim and Karen Bogle in 1985. Gourmet Coffee is known for their unique blends, which are hand-roasted in small batches. The Bogle siblings started out as a couple of friends who met while working at a local advertising agency. After starting their own business, they decided to focus on making great coffee that everyone could enjoy. In 2006, the Bogles donated all of their equipment and assets to the University of Florida's coffee program in order to help build coffee education programs around the world. Today, Gourmet Coffee continues to provide high-quality beans and accessories to Palmetto Bay residents and tourists alike.

The first coffee shop in Palmetto Bay was the Coffee House on Indian Key. It opened in 1919 and served coffee, tea, and doughnuts. The Coffee House closed in 1931. In 1951, the first Italian restaurant, Pianelli's Bake Shop, opened in town. It served Italian-style pizzas and pasta dishes. The restaurant closed in 1978. In 1984, the first Starbucksopened shop in town. It served coffee, tea, and pastries from 6 a.m.–11 p.m.. The store closed in 2006. In 1990s, the Palmetto Bay Cherry Blossom Festival began to be held at the beachfront park each year during early springtime. In 2007, Starbucks reopened its store at 1st Street & Ocean Boulevard which had been vacant for years due to fire damage caused by Hurricane Charley two months earlier that year. The store served hot chocolate with marshmallow fluffs throughout the winter months until it was re-leased to the public on January 11th of that year as a part of "Welcome Home Starbucks", an event designed to commemorate the anniversary of Starbucks opening on Longboat Key Blvd.. In 2009–2010,the Palmetto Bay Chamber of Commerce sponsored a series of concerts called "Coffee Festivals" at various locations around town over several weekends during late summer/early fall; these events featured local music and artisans selling their products while people enjoyed samples of their products from participating cafes along with food or drink purchases... In 2014-2015 season we had our 2nd Annual 'BrewFest' featuring local brewers from throughout Florida enjoying samples from participating cafes along with food or drink purchases... The Palmetto Bay Islands are located in the Florida Keys, and make up part of the Monroe County. The islands were first settled by Europeans in the 16th century, and were initially known as Inlet Island. They changed their name to Palmetto Bay after a group of Trees growing on the island helped get their name. The Palmetto Bay Islands have a population of around 230 people, and are home to two casinos: Lighthouse Point Casino Resort and Hard Rock Casino. There is also a small amount of housing on the islands, as well as a few stores and businesses. The climate on these islands is mild but humid, with average temperatures ranging from 67-77 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. The economy on the Palmetto Bay Islands is based mostly on tourism. There are several restaurants and bars that offer international cuisine, as well as boatloads of sun loungers for visitors to relax in between games of golf or swimming at nearby coves. For those who would rather stay indoors, there are several store complexes available for rent or purchase. On occasion, large events will be held on one or more of the larger islands such as concerts or fishing contests that attract large crowds from all over Key West.

One of the earliest references to coffee was made by Ptolemy in his Geography Book IV in the 2nd century BC. He noted that there were two types of beans: black and light. Black beans were grown near the equator while light beans were located further north. He noted that different countries have different roasting techniques which include French Roasts (where roast is slow over a long period of time), Italian Roasts (where roast is medium-high over a short period of time), Spanish Roasts (where roast is high-temperature for a short period of time), Turkish Coffee (which is processed with hot water) and Ethiopian Coffee (which undergoes a quick roast).

The Palmetto Bay area of Florida is rich in history. It has been home to many different cultures and people over the years, and it has a number of interesting landmarks and attractions. The area was first populated by Native Americans, who built villages here in the early 1600s. The Dutch began to explore this region in the 17th century, and they also explored the southward coastline of Florida. In 1821, Spanish troops discovered this area, and they began to explore it further. They found that this region had valuable resources, and they began to build up settlements here. The first town in Palmetto Bay was called Stonington after General James Stonington, one of the British commanders during the Seminole Wars. The town grew rapidly, and it became an important commercial center for this region. Eventually, other towns were established here as well: Micanopy in 1835, Mayport in 1840, Fort Myers in 1845, Naples in 1850-1851, Port Orange in 1860-1862 (the original name for Naples), Sanford in 1865-1867 (the original name for Sanford), North Naples in 1870-1871 (the original name for North Miami), Fort Myers Beach from 1893 until 1959 (the original name for Fort Myers), Clearwater from 1907 until 1957 (the original name for Clearwater), Nice from 1912 until 1988 (Nice) and Gulf Breeze from 1918 until 1961 (Gulf Breeze). Many different types of businesses were started here: lumberyards/manufacturing plants; breweries; distilleries; chicken houses; sugar plantations; citrus fruit growing operations; salt production facilities; engineering firms such as Beecham Aircraft Company Inc., Lockheed Aircraft Corporation et al.; hospital companies including Palm Beach County Hospital Company ; schools including Palm Beach Central School District No. 1 & 2 (); churches including Episcopal Cathedral Church of Our Lady Of Angels & Methodist Episcopal Church Of God’s Blessing ); as well as homes designed by famous architects like Neumann & Rappaport or Warneke & Kappeler. Additionally, numerous golf courses were constructed throughout Palmetto Bay: Pinehurst Country Club located at West Gulf Breeze Boulevard / Old US 27 Road / County Line Road ; Harbour View Country Club located on Harbor Drive ; Pines Golf Links located at Northwest corner Fourth Street / First Avenue South ]; TPC Sawgrass Resort located just outside Tampa on US Highway 1 north of IH 35W ]; Overlook Resort located on SW corner Third Street / Southwest corner First Avenue South ]]. There are also several theme parks nearby: Universal Studios Orlando - which is closer to downtown than any other park - Cedar Point - which is close to both Tampa International Airport and Disney World - both locations have amusement park complexes available - Islands Adventure Park situated near mainland Tampa off US highway 19 west of IH 611 north]; SeaWorld Orlando - which is about an hour away from downtown - Busch Gardensagicheon Hamburg , which opened around 1974 is a Germany-based amusement park with rides based on characters from German TV shows like "Doctor Who"; Six Flags Over Texas open since 1965 along with its own miniature version of London's Covent Garden Circus . Finally there are a few dozen small villages scattered throughout the area that still cling to traditional farming practices such as hog raising or corn farming . The Palmetto Bay area of Florida was first settled by the Arawak people in the early 1600s. The area was part of the Spanish colony of Cuba until 1810, when it became a United States territory. In 1821, the US acquired Florida from Spain and named it after General James K. Polk, who had won the war against Mexico. In 1865, Congress created Fort Brooke as a coastal artillery post to protect Tampa Bay from Confederate attacks. In 1898, during World War I, TampaBay was hit by an American bombardment that destroyed most of downtown and killed thousands of people. The city recovered quickly and experienced rapid growth in the 1920s and 1930s before experiencing another major population boom in the 1940s and 1950s due to military spending in Southeast Florida. However, since then Tampa Bay has been declining in population because of successive waves of immigration that have replaced many local workers withoutskilled labor from Latin America or Asia. Today much of Tampa Bay is still uninhabitable due to storm damage caused by hurricanes Irma and Jose over recent weeks
