The Palmetto Army National Guard, or PAG for short, has been in existence since 1917. The unit was organized as a regiment of the Florida National Guard and was activated on November 1, 1917. Initially serving as part of the 28th Infantry Division during World War I, the PalmettoArmyNG served in various capacities until it was disbanded on October 2, 1946. During World War II, the PalmettoArmyNG was re-activated and initially served in the 8th Infantry Division. On June 6, 1942 however, the division was redesignated as the 82nd Airborne Division and its headquarters were moved to Kissimmee. The division fought in North Africa and Italy before being demobilized on September 15, 1945. The PalmettoArmyNG ultimately reformed on July 1st 1959 with Headquarters at Fort Myers Beach and troops stationed at three locations: Fort Myers Beach (later renamed Air Force Base MacDill), Naples/Marco Island (later renamed Naval Station Naples), and Stonington (later renamed Air Force Base Andrews). With this new organization came a new logo - that of an olive branch - which has remained unchanged to this day. In 1963-1964 there were also changes to insignia when new shoulder boards were introduced incorporating a shield with 13 golden rays emanating from it; these shoulder boards can be seen today at all three locations referenced above (i.e., Ft Myers Beach AFB; NAS Naples; & AF Andrews). In 1978 another change happened when Marine Unit insignia changed from white stars to blue barsols edged with yellow suns; this change is still visible today on some Marine units within the Guard Corps including those based out of Ft Myers Beach AFB & NAS Naples both now known as USMC Base Camp Lejeune. Since then there have been further revisions to insignia reflecting modern times such as adding camouflage tape around necklines or removing Stars & Stripes entirely from uniforms for tropical deployments or special operations missions overseas where no other ensign would do justice! As we move into 2017 our military members will once again wear their original equipment and insignias dating back to 1917 including WWII era service dress items!

Palmetto, Florida is a small town located in the state of Florida. The population was 1,843 at the 2010 census. Palmetto is one of two towns inSumter County, and it is also the only incorporated municipality in Sumter County. The town was founded by J.D. (Jimmie) Dye on November 3, 1881, as a result of an agreement between him and Wofford Parish commissioners. At the time of its founding, Palmetto had a population of just three people: J.D., his wife Lula, and their six children. In 1888, Palmetto became part of Volusia County when it was created from parts of Orange County and Pasco County. In 1915, George Hargrave donated land to the town for use as a public school system; this donation forms the nucleus around which Palmetto's current schools were built over time. According to the United States Census Bureau, Palmetto has a total area of , all land. As of the census[3] of 2000,[4] there were 1,957 people residing in the town; 718 households out of which 34% had children under age 18 living with them,[5] 56% were married couples living together,[6] 10% had a female householder with no husband present,[7] and 24% were non-families.[8] The average household size was 2.[9] There were 953 families out of which 36% had children under age 18 living with them,[10] 55% were married couples living together,[11] 11% had a female householder with no husband present[12], and 25% were non-families.[13][14][15][16][17][18]}

These planes were originally bought by America through lend-lease agreements with other countries and were used extensively against Japan throughout World War II. For their contribution to victory over Japan, these planes were awarded two Presidential Unit citations (Unauthorized act). In total, more than sixty thousand P-40 Mustangs were built between 1941 and 1945! 4) One of America’s most famous wars came to an end on September 20th, 1991 when President George H·W· Bush formally announced Operation Desert Storm after months of planning and lead up work undertaken by defence minister David Clarke and air force general Colin Powell. Over 1 million people had volunteered their services within ninety days of notice being given; this number included many who had never served in combat before!

Palmetto is a small town located in Palm Beach County, Florida. The population was 5,883 at the 2010 census. The name comes from the palmetto tree, which is an iconic plant in the area. Palmetto was founded by Colonel James Pritchard and his family in 1883. It became a village in 1907 and a town in 1911. The population peaked at 11,812 in 1950 but has decreased since then. As of the 2010 census, there were 5,883 people living in Palmetto Village (or its predecessor), 2,737 residents of Palm Beach Gardens (the biggest suburb of Palm Beach County), 1,422 residents of West Palm Beach (another big suburb), and 3 residents of Belle Harbor (an island). The first settlers to live near what is now Palmetto were Confederate soldiers who fought during the American Civil War. They built homes on land that would later become part of Palmetto Village. In 1883, Colonel James Pritchard purchased 8 acres northwest of present-day Palmetto for $1 per acre. He started construction on a home which he named "Pritchard's Plantation". After two years of construction, he sold his property to Captain John Auldridge for $2 per acre and moved his family into it. Captain Auldridge had been born and raised near Fort Pierce Inlet on Indian River Lagoon before moving to Key Biscayne where he ran a ferry service until 1865 when he bought land at mile marker 96th Street on Miami Beach Boulevard west of Grand Central Terminal for $10 per acre.[4] He developed this land into what is today known as "Pritchard's Plantation". In 1907,[5] Captain Auldridge donated another piece of property to form what would become known as "Palm Island". This island was situated eastof present day Coral Gables and northwestof Everglades Park.[6] Captain Auldridge died in 1928 without leaving any children so his estate went through probate until 1931 when it was transferred to Mrs[7][8] Lillian Beall who served as trustee from 1932-1946 inclusive[9][10]. On July 6th 1946,[11][12] Mrs[13][14] Lillian Beall made an irrevocable donation with intent to create an private golf course adjacent thereto subject thereto--" said golf course having all necessary privileges therein including membership therein...No person or corporation shall be granted exclusive use thereof".[15][16] On December 15th 1951 after less than one year following Lillian Beall's death,[17], her executors placed their trust within Trust Management Company Incorporated (TMCI) under general management jurisdiction with power exercisable by trustees over lands within ingress or egress bounds thereof realty owned by them...The original donation amounting unto $120,-000 has been increased several times due to inflation...On October 17th 1959 TMCI donated 10 acres northeastward extending from current day Northeast 95TH street across I-95W between Krome Avenue and Northwest First Street--a distance also lying within ingress or egress boundaries aforesaid--for use as a park.[18][19][/20][/21][/22][/23],[24],[25],[26]= On November 14th 1978 Governor Lawton Chiles signed House Bill No 4351 into law amending Chapter 771 [27], Statutes Of Florida 1975 governing forest reserve program etc., propelling development around Power Plant Site & other areas leased by State government...HB 4351 renamed People’s Park after local hero Dr Jimmy Johnston who helped liberate our county from Japanese occupation during World War II
