The history of the Panama City Beach National Guard is reflective of its community. The guard has been at the forefront in ensuring public safety, promoting tourism and education, and providing a sense of community spirit in an era where such things are hard to come by. On December 5th, 1959, Panamanian troops invaded and occupied the country during the Cold War. This event led to a gunfight between Panamanian forces and American soldiers that left three Americans dead. The United States responded with Operation Just Cause which aimed to overthrow Panamanian President Manuel Noriega. As part of this operation US military personnel landed on both coasts of Panama City beach in order to seize control over the city center and its resources. In response to this invasion, local citizens organized themselves into groups known as "Fuerzas Armadas Nacionales" (National Forces). These organizations were responsible for providing security forPanama City beach and other areas within their jurisdiction. The first units of the National Guard were stationed at La Playa Naval Station in 1961 before moving ashore to establish their own unit at Campo de Fuego in 1969. Since its inception, the National Guard has played an important role in our society. It has provided law enforcement services, prevented crime, served as a deterrent against terror attacks, and helped promote tourism along with helping support local economies. The Guards have played an important role in many aspects of American history, most notably during the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. Today, the Guards are still an essential part of the US military and are commonly used as service members by local governments throughout America. In addition to their roles in warfare and public order, the Guards also provide important services such as security and transportation. Some of the earliest examples of national guard gifts can be found from George Washington’s Presidency when he ordered General James Wilkinson to give him a rifle and ammunition for use in his militia forces. Wilkinson followed suit soon after and gifted additional weapons to other leaders in addition to supplies. The first national guard unit was raised on July 4th, 1814 when New York state joined Confederation with other states forming what would become America. At this time, each state had its own militias which were used for emergency purposes only. On October 25th, 1821 Congress passed legislation authorizing President John Adams to raise a regiment of fifteen companies “To suppress insurrection within these United Colonies” This act would lead to two more units being raised over the next few years before finally disbanding on March 14th, 1825 as all six states had granted their full membership into Confederation without any further action by Adams or Congress. Throughout most of this time there was no formalized system for gifting gift items between member states so individual governors often gave goods or money into vaults either at home or at arsenals across the country under careful watch by military personnel who generally pooled all such gifts together into one large haul at storage facilities known as “the Arsenals Treasury” . Gifts were often given out family style with Governors giving items like furniture or clothing along with cash donations which would then go towardsPROVIDING FOR THE NEEDS OF THE NATIONAL GUARD It wasn't until 1861 that Congress created an official gift system under which gifts could be made direct from individuals or businesses rather than through government warehouses/treasuries/arsenals etc.. This new system allowed individuals (and businesses) to send parcels directly containing items like guns, munitions, hats etc directly unto Governor's homes inside America ..... The process began with issuing smallpox vaccine certificates (later called gift Certificates) that resembled postage stamps- Residents could mail them directly to their Governors house(s) The Certificate would list both sender's name & recipient's name (& position if different from Gov.) Upon receipt Of Certificate By Gov., NRA OFFICERS WOULD OPEN AND APPEAL TO ANY COURT IF ANY QUESTIONS AS TO GIVEN PURCHASE OR USE OF GOODS NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOVERNOR'S SPECIFICATIONS

Panama City Beach was founded by the Panama Canal Company in 1899. The company built a wharf and small town on the beach, and named it after the capital of Colombia, Panama. By 1912, the company had developed a large resort complex on the beach. In 1916, Panamanian president Manuel Noriega bought land downriver from Panama City Beach for $3 million to build a presidential palace and other luxury amenities. The U.S. military occupation of Panama during World War II halted development at the beach until 1944 when American forces relinquished control of the country toimarquistic dictator Primo de Rivera. The following year, de Rivera ordered all white people removed from the island, ending any vestiges of racial segregation at Panama City Beach. In 1949, construction began on another toll road between Boca Raton and Key West which would connect both cities via Panama City Beach Boulevard. The road became known as I-95 after its completion in 1957; it is now one of America's most traveled highways. In 1968, Panamanian president Anastasio Somoza Debayle declared martial law in order to consolidate power within his government following a disputed election; this led to increasing unrest on the beach which eventually led to his ouster in 1970. Beginning in 1972, an influx of refugees seeking political asylum turnedPanama City Beach into an increasingly violent city with widespread poverty and crime rates; this situation continued until 1992 when President Ricardo Martinelli announced plans to redevelop the city into a more upscale destination with better infrastructure and basic services available for all residents regardless of income or race.
