The National Guard of Panama City, Florida was originally organized on December 27, 1916 as the Panama City Chapter of the American Legion. On November 5, 1917, the chapter became an independent regiment and was redesignated as the National Guard of Panama City. The first national guard unit to be activated in Panama were two companies from the Jacksonville-based 3rd Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment who arrived in country on January 15, 1918. For six months they performed garrison duty at Ybor City before being moved to Colonia Vieja on October 12 for operations against barbed wire obstacles and guerrilla fighters. In 1921, a regiment was raised from active duty members of the National Guard in response to Panamanian Revolution. This regiment became known as elements from Jacksonville (EJ). The brigade headquarters and three battalions were stationed in San José de los Baños until 1927 when they were transferred to Asuncion where they remained until 1934 when they returned to Jacksonville where they remained until 1940 when they again deployed to San José de las Americas under command of Lieutenant Colonel Edward Covington Parkhurst. When World War II began it was anticipated that the United States would enter into war soon after its declaration by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on December 6th 1941 which led to America's entry into World War II as a member of Aide-de-Camp to King George VI which also included participation by Manuel Noriega who had been appointed dictator by FDR following his ouster from power in 1944 after leading a rebellion against U.S.-backed president Isidro Vásquez Sobral during WWII In 1947Noriega made public his opposition to Spanish rule and staged a coup d'etat which removed Vásquez Sobral from power but only lasted sixteen days before he too fell victim to Urita's forces loyal to Batista shortly thereafter leaving much of Panama Province restive with no clear plan or goal for restoring democracy or social stability In 1949Vásquez Sobral reestablished control over most of Panama Province while continuing resistance against Spanish occupation In 1952 riots took place throughout eastern Panama Province following revelations that General Arturo Frondizi had embezzled millions off government coffers during his time as head of army intelligence) finally achieving political stability In 1957Urita fled PANZAREPORT resulting in open revolt against Batista's rule followed by referendum asking citizens if they wanted their nation back under Spanish rule or not In 1958Paraguay entered into a military alliance with Spain creating an effective buffer between Peru and Brazil along with providing technical support for Peruvian troops fighting Brazilian forces along Colombia's border Prior thereto there had been sporadic skirmishes between both countries occasional bombings/firefights however these largely occurred near Lima than anywhere else within Peru & Ecuador] On July 1st 1960Panama Corporation acquired all shares held by EJ divesting itself completely] By then approximately 60% percent of entire population still lived within homeland boundaries however remainder resided scattered throughout exile areas including United Statesapproximately 30% residing within Caribbean nations primarily Puerto Rico20% living within Mexican Federal Republic 10% resides mainly within Dominican Republic & Venezuelan State Approximately 5% reside mainly within French Guiana After liberation hostilities ceased & nationality guidelines changed Greeting letter sent home informing citizens adjustment process underway] Most refugees chose either residency status quo inside homeland or return outsideContinued struggle for recognition & rights continues today]

On February 18th 1917 the regiment was redesignated as the Panamanian National Guard. The regiment served in World War I and II. In 1946 the regiment was reorganized as a brigade and served until 1959 when it became a divisional guard unit. The divisional guard unit was redesignated as an army corpsguard unit on November 1st 1958 and served until 1987 when it reverted to a brigade level unit again.
Panama City, Florida is a city in the Panhandle of Florida. The population was estimated to be over 100,000 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Leon County and part of Tallahassee–Amarillo Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent European settlers in Panama City were Spanish missionaries who arrived in 1524 as part of Magellan's circumnavigation of the world. The town was founded by Captain Diego Rivera on November 25, 1821 as a stop on his way from Santo Domingo to Fort Union. Rivera named it after Manuel de la Casa y Rivera, one of his many friends and intimates. The town rapidly grew into an important commercial center due to its location on the Apalachicola River and its access to shipping lanes through Tampa Bay. In 1827, Panama City became an official U.S.-controlled territory following annexation by Mexico during the Mexican-American War; however, it reverted back to Spanish control after hostilities ended two years later. In 1843, construction began on what would become Tampa Bay’s first major railroad line: the Stroudsburg Railroad (later known as Gulf Railroad). This transportation corridor gave rise to Panama City’s nickname “The Gateway To Southeast Florida” because it allowed for easy shipment of goods across Tampa Bay without having to journey through Mobile or Jacksonville. By 1907, Panama City had surpassed Mobile as America's second largest port after New York Harbor and soon becameFlorida's leading sea port with container handling totaling more than 1 million tons per year and becoming one of the country's primary sources for both imports and exports.. With development came problems however; water shortages caused by settlement growth; lack of usable land for industry led to housing issues; infrastructure deficiencies including inadequate sewerage systems and street paving made life difficult for citizens; social unrest caused by racism against Native Americans and Mexicans; crime rates soared resulting in high levels of emergency response called in from surrounding counties when residents ran out Of drinking water or food while coping with extreme weather conditions such as hurricanes Irma or Wilma.. The National Guard is a force of soldiers and airmen stationed in each state. The National Guard was first organized on July 15, 1792 when the Continental Congress passed a resolution calling for an army to be raised to protect the United States. It wasn’t until 1861 that the National Guard was made an independent militia by Act of Congress. The Militia Act states that members of the Militia must be registered with their governor and must provide proof of being in good moral character. This act allowed for military drills and training but also gave power to governors to call up men for service if they felt it was needed. In 1933, the President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed into law The National Defense Authorization Act which created the Department of Defense (DoD). DoD defined national guard as any reserve component of the military which had not been mobilized since 1917 due to World War I or World War II because those wars were fought by regular forces instead of militias. DoD also stated that “the term ‘national guard’ shall have its current meaning within [DoD] as used herein” (Humphreys v. Carr, 350 U.S.) In 1956, The Guardsman Improvement and Training Program (GIP) became operational under DoD jurisdiction and began providingqualified guardsmen with education, job placement opportunities, health care services, specialties such as marksmanship training and leadership development courses at no cost to participating units or individuals (United States v. Griggs, 463 U.S.). Panama City, Florida is a small city located in Panama County, Florida. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami-Dade metropolitan area. The name Panama City comes from its location on the eastern coast of Panama and its close proximity to that country's capital, Panama City. The first recorded inhabitants of what is now Panama City were the Arawaks who established a village there about 1275 AD. In 1513, Spanish explorers discovered this region and named it La Providencia after Pedro de Alvarado, governor of New Spain at that time. At various times during the 16th century different groups of English colonists called this area "Mosquito Coast". In 1795 Manuel Menéndez de la Vega y Martínez founded Mérida with 8 other villages as part of his larger Chiriqui Province. On November 14, 1821 – four days before Panamanian independence – he submitted to Cuban president José Miguel Vivanco a document proclaiming himself president and naming his new province Islas Canarias (Islands). As early as 1834 when Henry Rolfe Blount arrived in Key West he noted an aboriginal people living near by on an island he named Santa Clara which lay within Mexican waters: "These people are very different from us; they wear no clothes but we have many." He gave them the name Tequesta because their leader had been killed by another group some years earlier while trying to protect their own land from Spanish incursions. In 1847–48 American explorer David Calkins explored Pensacola Bay and Its Watersheds near present day Tax exile beach where he met local natives Inca Tupisaca and Pascua Yaqui Indians who were friendly until they learned about white men's intentions towards their land: They begged Calkins not to take any Indian land but he did not listen; instead he built Fort Myers into which Pascua Yaqui Indians moved in order to live closer to Europeans than they had ever done before. This event started what would later become known as Indian removal policy by U.S authorities which aimed to remove all indigenous peoples living east of Mexico from their lands prior to Mexican independence in 1821 without compensation or notification to these nations' leaders. By 1850 less than 10% of original Yucatán was still unoccupied by indigenous peoples due chiefly to factors such as disease brought over by travelers rather than war or conquest; however efforts continued throughout much of 19th century Oklahoma Territory through purchases, treaties signed with Native American nations (such as those made with Apaches), military campaigns against hostile Apache bands led by General Antonio López de Santa Anna devastating most parts inhabited areas between 1861-1865 inclusive resulted in more than 2 million head including upriver among the largest expanses occupied by whites outside California... Although Texans claimed sovereignty over all Seminole territory eastward Of Mexico until 1898 when President James Kenedy decided that Cuba should be considered part thereof under US law following Spanish America War boundary changes; both Texas annexation offers solid evidence that US imperial ambitions precluded any genuine reconciliation between native nations & Americans upon Mexican independence...
