Each year during Army-Navy GameDay at BB&T Field/Peterson Stadium there are also numerousLocal organizations that donate supplies such as hygiene kits or uniforms to local schools in need throughOperation Smile USA® . In addition to making donations locally behalf of our troops stationed here at home we also support local veterans groups bydonating new equipment or toys -including Surplus Section located on Enterprise Drive across from Veterans Affairs Medical Center- towardsreuse projects within veteran homes or even new homes for retired service members now living off benefits! Lastly we host a small parade down Enterprise Drive prior to game time that features custom made marching band uniforms donated by Ft Walton Beach Police Department; courtesy flag flying;and hand held musical instruments donated by Pompano Beach Sheriff's Office! There is no doubt that these types of events help bring out the best in our troops while raising money that can be put towards more meaningful causes!

The area that is now Parkland was part of Muskegon County until 1821, when it became part of Jacksonville County. In 1836, Jacksonville County was merged into Duval County, which in turn became part of Seminole County in 1893. Parkland was organized as a township in 1907. It became an independent parish in 1959.
