The name "Pinellas" was chosen because it sounded like home to the plantation owners. The first post office opened in 1882 and closed in 1901. By 1907, some 7500 people lived in Pinellas County and only 3% were slaves. The construction of I-95 made life difficult for residents who had to leave their homes which they knew would soon be replaced by a freeway system that stretched across south Florida In 1961, when Congress passed the Interstate Highway System Act, Pinellas County became one of its six counties within the newly created Miami–Dade Metropolitan Area As part of this change, county commissioners decided to change the name of town square from Park Row to Broward Boulevard in honor of then-Broward County Sheriff Captain Hernando DeSoto who had championed road development throughout southeastern Florida during his time as sheriff

After WWII, coffee enjoyed a resurgence due to increased exposure from travel and new ideas about health benefits associated with its consumption such as antioxidants and caffeinated beverages containing less caffeine than regular ones (Kramer et al., 2003). However, recent studies have shown that there are some significant health concerns associated with excessive caffeine consumption (Harrison et al., 2006; Kaminer et al., 2006). Pembroke Pines, Florida is a small town located in Duval County, Florida. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area and is also home to Jacksonville Landing, one of the largest theme parks in the world. Pembroke Pines has been a thriving community for over 100 years and its rich history can be found from its early days as an agricultural center to its current location as a bedroom and vacation destination for people from all across America. The first inhabitants of what is now Pembroke Pines were Native American Indians who lived there before European colonists arrived in what is now Duval County in 1835. In 1853, General James Wilkinson established Fort Brooke on land donated by Governor John Dixie. The fort served as a military post until 1857 when it was abandoned due to lack of ammunition and supplies. A year later, Wilkinson sold the land to Colonel John Heald for $1,000. Heald built a house on the site which became known as Heald's House during his tenure as owner/manager of Fort Brooke. In 1865, Colonel John Heald died unmarried and childless; his estate passed into private hands and was never developed commercially or used for military purposes again until 1925 when it came under control of Duval County through an agreement between local officials and heirs of Colonel John Heald. Aftermath of World War II saw an influx of civilians into what had been farmland near Jacksonville; this caused some modification to the original landscape which remains today: The Everglades National Park was created adjacent to Pembroke Pines while other neighborhoods such as Clearwater Beach were developed inland aroundJacksonville Landing (now called Walt Disney World). The post-World War II boom brought more development within walking distance of downtown including shopping malls such as Sears Tower (opened in 1957), JCPenney Plaza (opened 1962), Suncoast Shopping Center (opened 1974) and Gulfstream I Resort & Casino (opened 1984). Pembroke Pines is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. The population was 31,541 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami-Dade metropolitan area. The town of Pembroke Pines was founded in 1872 by J.C. Penney and his brother James as a small agricultural community on the west side of what is now Flagler Beach Boulevard and Coral Way north of I-95/I-75. The first post office was established in 1873 and the first store was built in 1874 by Wm Hennigan and C[harles] Davenport (the Penneys were already natives of Ireland). The original name for the community may have been "Braydenstown" after Brayden Place near Dublin where they had their home during their childhoods. In 1893, John Boggs purchased 1,000 acres (4 km2) east of town from James Loyd for $3,500 plus interest on that amount. He donated it to Broward County as its first public parkland which became known as Boggs Park today. In 1907 he donated another 2,000 acres (8 km2) to Broward County which became known as Parkland East including portions now located within Pembroke Pines proper along Flagler Beach Boulevard and Coral Way. This land included much of what is now South Miami Heights neighborhood; today most of that land lies within Everglades National Park boundaries south of I-95/I-75 beyond Hurricane Irma's damage zone In 1912 Drury Lane School moved from its original location across from Stonington's Market to 6th Street between State Road A1A and US 301 just east of I-95/I-75 passageway used by motorists travelling eastbound exit onto 95A1A towards Fort Lauderdale airport (& southbound access via SR A1A), becoming one block south (west) on Rte A1A later renamed State Road 527 & still under present street number designation; building moved again in 1957 when new school annexes were erected adjacent to old Drury Lane School site across Frommer Avenue from current US 301 entrance onto US 301 N concurrent with erection & relocation of Sunrise Hospital [now Suncoast Medical Center] nearby Also here today: substantial remnant original 1913 glass storefronts rear gable end survive facing Sunrise Hospital lot ~ . . . unpainted brick breezeways leading into old Drury Lane School - each doorway lead into an alley single story deep except one reaching ground floor level just below eaves azure sky lighted inside when last extant
