Pinecrest, Florida is a small town in Broward County, Florida. It was founded by John Witherspoon in 1892 as a citrus fruit plantation. The first coffee shop opened in Pinecrest in 1925 and it was the only commercial outlet for coffee until 1959 when the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Company opened its own store. In 1976, The Pinecrest Coffee Corporation was formed and it continues to operate as an artisanal coffee company today. The history of artisan coffee can be traced back to 1865 when Nicholas-Jacques Lecoq began importing Arabica beans from Africa into the United States. This led to the development of the Brazilian Bean industry which is responsible for most of the world's production of this type of coffee. Indonesia also became involved with this market during this time period and started producing illegal amounts of beans which caused many companies to go bankrupt. However, due to these efforts, Ethiopian Aranbeans were developed which are now one of the most popular types of espresso found throughout the world. In 1925, Pinecrest Coffee Shop occupied what is now known as Fourth Street east of State Road A1A (now State Road 527). Today, Fourth Street features a number of restaurants and businesses including Starbucks Coffee Company and Dunkin' Donuts chain headquarters on one side while PINECEST COFFEE SHOP on the other side once housed L’Atelier des Cacao exportations - one of South America's oldest chocolate manufacturers - before it closed in 2006. In 1978, after years spent searching for suitable land within minutes' walk from downtown Pinecrest where he could build his new business operations center complete with tasting room/shop space and roastery/ Cafeteria style kitchenette we Foundry at 601 E 4th St., #1010 now home to our current café & bake shop! We are excited about having been located here since 1978 and continue making amazing cupcakes that feature fresh ingredients direct from our farmstead ovens!

Pinecrest is a town in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 9,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa–St Petersburg metropolitan area. The first coffeehouses were established in Pinecrest by German immigrants in 1892-93. In 1925, The Daily Review opened a printing shop and began to sell coffee from their house on Harbor Boulevard. In 1930, Donato's Coffee House started serving coffee from a truck on US 1A near US 90A in downtown Pinecrest. By 1932, Donato's had two locations - one on First Avenue and one on University Boulevard - and was selling coffee for $1 per cup. In 1935, The Dutch Bros Coffee Store opened with two locations - one off State Road 7 near SW 2nd Street and another off US 1 near Hillsborough Avenue - each selling coffee for $2 per cup. Coffee prices changed frequently during the 1940s; Beginning in 1945, when war rationing increased the price of beans by 50%, The Dutch Bros became known as "the risky store". Pinecrest is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Pinecrest is located on State Road 8 and its ZIP Code is 32609. The town post office was established in 1892 and closed in 1913. The first settler in Pinecrest was Augustus Biddle who arrived with his family from England in 1885. In 1907, John Foust bought a tract of land east of town and built a log cabin which became the first schoolhouse in Pinecrest. In 1909, George Waddell opened the first store in town and also started to sell groceries to residents. A water tower was erected by Waddell soon after to serve as an early public address system for the community). In 1912,pinecrest incorporated as a village under the name "Cleveland". On October 24th of that year, PTA President Mrs. Alice Hulse delivered an address urging citizens to incorporation because "the present form government will not meet all needs". An election held on November 3rd resulted in Foust being elected Mayor with over 60% of the vote while incumbent James Kapp received only 36%. Two years later on February 15th 1913 pinecrest incorporated as a borough under charter number 5471 with JF McNeill as mayor and Cllr McKnight serving as vice-mayor On January 1st 1916 Pinecrest unincorporated due to lack of support from then-Mayor Foust On December 12th 1922 pinecress annexed into Polk County
