The community is located on U.S. Route 494, about 15 miles (24 km) east of Pensacola and 20 miles (30 km) west of Tallahassee. It is part of the Pensacola–Ft Walton Beach–Warrenton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name Pinecrest comes from a white man who landed in what is now Pinecrest in 1836 looking for land to settle after sailing from St Petersburg, Florida on the Intrepid Brigantine. In 1841, Pinecrest became part of Escambia County when it was organized as an independent county by Governor John Litchfield Jackson under the Seminole Treaty of 1861 which established Indian Territory within Alabama and Georgia boundaries. At first, much of what is now Pinecrest was swampy or low lying territory that required heavy investment in drainage systems to support farming and other economic activities before anything began to grow thereabouts until citrus trees were planted in around 1880 by Averill Harriman Sr., one ofpinecrests early settlers who also ran a store and post office thereabouts until his death in 1907 which led to increased visitation by tourists through roads leading into the area today including US 494 which still serves as a major artery connecting both communities

However, during World War II, cafés became heavily involved in military propaganda as part of The Axis Powers' effort to control information dissemination within enemy lines. Pinecrest is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 15,876 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa–St Petersburg–Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in what is now Pinecrest were farmers who arrived from Texas in 1845. In 1865, John Crouch developed one of the first citrus plantations in Florida and named it after his friend and fellow Texan governor James Kenedy. For many years, Pinecrest was an agricultural center with small-scale production of food crops such as cotton and peanuts. However, due to its strategic location on Tampa Bay and its close proximity to major metropolitan areas within Florida, Pinecrest began to experience rapid growth beginning in the late 1960s when new businesses began moving into town from other parts of the state. By 1980, Pinecrest had reached its current size with over 20 businesses operating within downtown boundaries alone! Today, pine trees line every street and tree-lined avenue in downtown while shopping centers dot the landscape like mini campuses – all evidence that this city has been thriving for generations! Prior to European settlement there were no major settlements east of St Petersburg except for a few Seminole Indians who hunted and fished near present day Clearwater Beach. It wasn’t until 1795 that Spanish traders discovered what would become Pinellas County by sailing along Flamborough Head (later known as Clearwater). In 1840 Jacksonville became the county seat but Orange County continued to hold elections until 1868 when it too joined Jacksonvilleville incorporation which included Pinecrest along with other nearby towns such as Boca Raton and Dunedin (now Palm Harbor). In 1885 Jacksonville annexation excluded Pinecrest making it a separate municipality under Jacksonville Mayor A F Hargrave’s administration; however this decision was overturned on appeal by Circuit Court Judge M J Macdonald which resulted in a three-judge bench trial lasting four days before Chief Justice Augustus Prentice delivered the final ruling upholding Jacksonville annexation including Pinecrest! In 1896 Precinct 3 was established easternmost portion of present day City limits making it home to most residents immediately adjacent to their workplaces/locations although much later annexed by neighboring communities forming today’s Downtown District including West Pointe Woods Village & North Avenue Business Park! As development progressed between these annexations additional precincts were added eventually resulting in today’s 27 wards including several inner-city precincts located around central business district catering largely to professional or academic workers !! One could Drive through any corner of today’s City Limits without ever encountering another resident or property owner not related directly or indirectly to some aspect of everyday life here – quite an accomplishment considering that boundaries have changed hands numerous times since then !
