On July 1, 1958, the name change to pine crest university when Kennesaw State Teachers College merged into Auburn University effective September 1st 1958 under the newly created AU System which included all four state universities plus Alabama A&Mulus & Clemson Polytechnic Universities #9 & 10(now Auburn University). In 1964 PINECEST UNIVERSITY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO 12 became CONSTRUCTION AND MANAGEMENT COOPERATIVE OF FLORIDA INC., an affiliate member of THE AMERICAN UNIVISION SCHOOL CORPORATION (#2118), serving its student body statewide through cooperative agreements with other schools throughout Florida including Broward County Collinwood High School privatization deal ##2002 On January 9th 2006 PINECEST UNIVERSITY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO 12 disbanded effective February 28th 2006 due to lack of enrollment following hurricane Katrina . Assets were transferred to CONSTRUCTION AND MANAGEMENT COOPERATIVE OF FLORIDA INC which served as their new management entity until their liquidation on October 20th 2009 CONSTRUCTION AND MANAGEMENT COOPERATIVE OF FLORIDA INC assets include community facilities such as school cafeterias etc., land adjacent thereto including city limits leased back from City Of Lake Buena Vista through lease agreement dated December 17th 1996 thru May 22nd 2002 status quo until cancelled August 31st 2009 due to financial difficulties On October 20th 2009 LANDLORD/OWNER PUBLIC RECEIPT FOR USE OF PREMIER CLUBHOUSE IN PINECREST FOUNDATION COUNCIL MEETING PLANS TO UTILIZE THE PREMIER CLUBHOUSE AS PART OF THEIR COMMUNITY SERVICES PLAN FOR THE CITY OF PINECREST THROUGH A LEASE AGREEMENT DATED DECEMBER 17TH 1996 THROUGH MAY 22ND 2002 . Lease will expire November 30th 2021 unless terminated earlier . Parkland Management Corporation plans to use part of Clubhouse for office space while Town Manager provides services such as public safety patrols during daytime hours while Town Clerk provides administrative support services during nighttime hours Community Services Plan will provide nearly 275 parking spaces inside and outside Clubhouse along with bike racks and bus stops within walking distance

One of the most important moments in Pinecrest’s history occurred during World War I when both Russia and America were facing an enemy common enough only because they were two countries at war: Germany. TheVRG (Voluntary Red Cross), a patriotic group formed by local women who volunteered their services, collected money for food and munitions needed by both sides as part of their “War Bond Drive” campaign. This unprecedented effort helped save many lives and contribute significantly to victory over Germany. Thanks in large part to this volunteerism, Pinecrest was oneida County’s largest community at the time and participated actively in everything from fundraising drives to providing uniforms for military personnel coming home from World War I!
