Police gift history in Pinellas Park, Florida began with the establishment of the sheriff's office in 1892. The first officer to be appointed as a deputy sheriff was John Fenton. The department grew rapidly and by 1912 there were twenty deputies. In 1916, Deputy Sheriff Harry Blythe became the first policeman to serve three years on Pinellas Park's police force before retiring. The department continued to grow and in 1928 it had thirty-six officers. By 1934, when Major John Ladd took over as deputy sheriff, the department had ninety officers and included a station house, workshops and an ambulance service. In 1938 Lieutenant Colonel George Krieger became deputy sheriff and soon after organized a subdivision patrol unit which served all of Pinellas Park including parts of Clearwater Beach and St Petersburg. In 1945 Captain Charles Eller was named deputy sheriff with responsibility for all law enforcement activities within the city limits of Pinellas Park. This included patrols outside of city limits as well as narcotics policing within city limits. In 1951Captain Eller was succeeded by Lieutenant Colonel William Humes who became responsible for all law enforcement activity within unincorporated areas east of I-10 (including part of Clearwater Beach) while also serving as commander at one point of operation for the entire county. Lt Col Humes' retirement in 1957 left Commander Winton Morrison in charge effective July 1st 1958 until Deputy Police Chief Don Ferguson assumed command on December 15th 1960; from that date until his retirement on May 9th 1977 Captain Dennis O'Donnell served as acting police chief during those times between Chief Ferguson's absences or other assignments elsewhere within the agency etc.. It should be noted that since 1973 regular training has been held at Gulf Breeze PD involving virtually all aspects related to crime prevention/fighting though not always officially recognized by management...Since 1982 there have been two lieutenant colonels directorship interim command positions alternating every six months with no actual command time off... during this time much emphasis has been placed upon useable computerized equipment which has greatly facilitated many functions hitherto performed by hand ... Patrol operations are now centralized under one roof making it possible for commanders to better supervised individual squads operating throughout their jurisdictional area... A new substation located near State Road 2 just south of I-10 makes it possible for more data entry into reports resulting in decreased need for field officers report back onto squad levels

Pinellas Park, Florida is a small town in Pinellas County, Florida. The town is located on the east coast of the state and it has a population of 7,592 as of the 2010 census. The community was founded in 1892 by Captain John W. Worth and his wife Fannie A. Worth. The first settlers in Pinellas Park were Captain John Worth and his wife Fannie A. Worth who arrived from Kentucky on April 12th, 1892. They started a cotton plantation near where they lived until their death in 1916. There are several sources that claim that Captain John Worth was buried at the old Methodist Cemetery next to the Presbyterian Church in Pinellas Park which still stands today. Another source claims thatCaptain JohnWorth's coffin was brought back to America after he died and put into storage at Greenbrier Valley Plantation before being moved to Pinellas Park where it remains today! John Worthy Elementary School was built in 1902 and is currently used by students from Stonington Middle School which is across the street from First Baptist Church which served as the original town hall/ courthouse until it burned down in 1914. After this fire, a new building was built but it too caught on fire and finally closed shop for good in 1977! In 1905, First Baptist Church became White Sands Lake Memorial park when Hermann Gellner donated land for this purpose along with some other property adjacent to First Baptist Church including what is now known as Gulfstream Drive! Island Beach Boulevard (now Federal Highway) ran through downtown back then so all residents had to go out ontoland or walk which made for an interesting mix during those early years! In 1925 though, Mayor J C Hargrave dedicated Oneonta Road - later renamed Gulfstream Drive - just south of downtown as a new business district called "Pinellas Park"!! This road still runs through downtown today although portions have been variously redevelopment or replaced with more recent shopping centers or office buildings etc... It should be noted that while Oneonta Roadsoriginal designation may be confusing because different parts of town received different names over time-the grid pattern seen today comes about because Streets & Avenues Department rebuilt every major thoroughfare within city limits between 1909-1917 using a system based on routes followed by horse teams
