When Pinellas Park was founded in 1906, it was a small farming community. It had a lone store and no paved roads. The only way to get to the town was by horse and buggy. Coffee beans were brought overland from the nearby plantations, so there wasn't much of a market for them here. But over time, coffeegrowing boomed in this area. A new railroad arrived in Pinellas Park in 1892, and it made transportation easier and allowed farmers to export their crops more easily. This also led to an increase in demand for coffee beans, which sparked the growth of the local coffee industry. Coffee became one of the town's most popular exports, and people come from all around Tampa to buy it. In 1951, when Pinellas Park incorporated as a city, its citizens realized that they needed a place where they could put their coffee beans before selling them back to their farmer friends outside of town. So they started marketing their beans under the name "Pinellas Park Coffee."

Pinellas Park is a city located in Pinellas County, Florida. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area. Pinellas Park began as a small agricultural community in 1892, when citrus growers from southern California settled in what is now Pinellas Park to grow oranges and other crops. A post office was established in 1893, and by 1907 there were over 100 residents living in the area. In 1915, pineapples were discovered on nearby Plantation Key and soon after an orange orchard was built to process the fruit. The original town site was triangular with a north-south street running through it and two east-west streets connecting it to Clearwater Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. William Crouch developed this land into what is now Pinellas Park after he patented it in 1902 for development as an "imperial city" with its own school system, library, fire station and water tower etc., which would be separate from Clearwater Beach's emerging tourism industry. Crouch's dream became reality; by 1912 Pinellas Park had a population of 400 people and boasted three businesses: a grocery store, an ice cream parlor and a sawmill (the first ever recorded in Florida). In 1916, during World War I efforts were made to build airfields near Clearwater Beach so that fighter pilots could fly out to attack German submarines off Florida coast; one such airfield was designated «Pinellas» Airport due to its location just outside of town limits on Plantation Key Peninsula – adjacent today to downtown St Petersburg proper! In 1947 plans were made for construction of Interstate 95 between Tampa Bay and Jacksonville but this never came true due to budgetary shortages within both states! Whenpinella park reopened following Hurricane Irma on September 5th many local businesses had heavy damage done including most of the water towers/towers along US 41A which runs through town center - many had their windows blown out or completely destroyed! The City Council voted unanimously on October 8th “To allow all business owners who are unable or unwilling to reopen their stores until further notice” giving everyone some time before they closed up shop indefinitely! Some stores did re open but most closed early due Windchill effects reaching into late night hours causing significant power outages throughout much of town center affecting even places like restaurant walls & ceilings - one could walk right up behind them & take down lights without anyone being home!!! All told there were around 45 business owners who lost everything either directly or indirectly during Hurricane Irma! In terms of infrastructure maintenance status since Irma - nearly all streetlights have been replaced since November 2017 while municipal water systems have been updated/upgraded 3 times since then... Funding has also been allocated for resurfacing OFC Roads throughout town which should begin shortly thereafter...As you can tell we are working hard but Maintenance Status remains current

Pinellas Park is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. It was established on November 5, 1888 by the merger of two previous towns, Clearwater and Plantation. The population was 27,354 at the 2010 census. The name Pinellas Park comes from the Everglades and came to be used for alluvial fans that drained water away from the swampy bottomlands near what is now downtown Pinellas Park. The first Post Office in town opened on October 21, 1889. Today's buildings began as wooden huts called "The Camp" and "The Works," which were among the first structures built in town when it was formed on November 5, 1888. The first settler in Pinellas Park may have been William Jennings Bryan who arrived there with his family on December 4th 1887 from Quincy, Illinois. He had come across a post office advertisement that said "Plantation Post Office - New Town - pine trees . . . place for pioneer families." After arriving in Pinellas Park he started to build a cabin and named it after himself – Jennings Cabin. By 1889 Jennings Cabin had become known as "Jennings Home". In 1893 an area around what is now downtown Pinellas Park was organized as a village under the name of Plantation Village because more than 50 homes were put up there including Mrs. Joice Hargrave's home which still stands today (now owned by Live Oak Realty).
