Coffee began to be sold commercially around 1830, when a group of investors purchased a farm near Plant City and began to grow coffee. By 1855, Plant City had become one of the leading coffee-growing communities in America. At this point, coffee was also being exported to other parts of the world. The first Starbucks opened its doors in 1969 in downtown Plant City, serving craft beers and roasted coffee. Today, Starbucks is one of the largest coffee chains in the world with over 190 stores worldwide. In addition to its store locations, Starbucks also operates an online platform called Starbucks Online which allows customers to order their favorite drinks from anywhere at any time.

Plant City is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,914 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa–St Petersburg Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded by Methodists in the early 1800s and named for their main pastor, John Baptiste LaFontaine Plantation owner James Huxley. The original community was located on a peninsula formed by two forks of the St Johns River and consisted of a few homes and a Methodist chapel. In 1881, Plant City became an incorporated municipality with a population of about 150 people. In 1933, Plant City lost its status as an incorporated municipality after it failed to become property-owning enough residents to make it tax-exempt from county government taxes (the exemption allowed municipalities to provide services such as public schools). However, over the next few years, city officials made several efforts to maintain some level of municipal control over day-to-day operations while still allowing individual citizens access to local services through village meetings or special committees composed exclusively of city employees or their appointees. This effort finally succeeded in 1956 when the county commissioners voted not to renew the municipality's charter because it did not meet all requirements set forth by state law that would have made it eligible for continued taxing autonomy; however, plantcity retains full voting rights within its own limits within Polk County. In recent years there has been much discussion surrounding what should be done with Plant City's slowly disappearing center district which deteriorated economically due largely to lack of nightlife and job opportunities outside of agriculture; this issue will likely come up again in 2020 when voters are ballots on whether or not to expand unincorporated Hillsborough County eastward into Plant City proper as part of plans for new development along Interstate 75 near downtown Tampa Bay. The origins of coffee are still up for debate, but there is no doubt that coffee has played an important role in human history and continues to do so today. Coffee began as a type of trade goods used to sell from small traders along the Silk Road. Coffee beans were ground into a coarse powder and brewed using water or milk instead of tea or other beverages. Over time, different methods were developed for brewing coffee—some stronger than others. In the 16th century, Dutch brewers started makingcoffee using roasted barley instead of ground beans. The early Dutch brewers discovered that when they mixed hot water with cold roasted barley, they produced a smooth cup of coffee without any bitterness or aftertaste. This method quickly became known as “maga” because it came from Malacca (now Malaysia). The first recorded use of maga coffee was in 1596 by Jan Coenraad van Rijn during his voyage through Asia Minor on his way to India.[1] By 1600, Portuguese traders had started trading with Indonesia and Southeast Asia and discovered new sources for black pepper berries which gave them their first taste for espresso.[2] In 1615, Pieter Bruegel the Elder created one of Europe’s earliest paintings called The Volcanoes,[3] which shows Indonesians grindingcereal into tiny pieces with stones while women watch.] Dutch traders soon found other sources for bean products such as cocoa beans which allowed them to fill their cups with rich flavor profiles not possible before.[4] By 1700, many breweries in Amsterdam had begun producing maga-style coffees under the name “Amsterdam Coffee” or simply “Amsterdam”. These coffees continued to be made until 1856 when Holland switched its allegiance to France during the Napoleonic Wars because French roasters felt they had an unfair advantage over their Dutch counterparts at this point in time due to French technology advancements regarding brewing processes and barragedowns (the process by which grinded beans are heated until very fine crumbs form). As a result, most modern Holland Coffee tastes more like French Roast than Dutch Roast does like earlier examples from Amsterdam Brewery

Plant City is a small town in Florida, located about 30 miles east of Tallahassee on the Gulf Coast. The population was 3,000 as of the 2010 census. The community is named for its location on a artificial bay or inlet called Plant City Inlet, which was created by dredging a channel through the hardwood forests to make way for agricultural production. The first permanent settler in Plant City was Mrs. Euphemia Stephenson in 1892. She and her husband, John Stephenson, had come from Georgia and were looking for land to farm after their family's farm failed near Macon. Mrs. Stephenson received a letter from President James Kenedy asking her to move to Tallahassee so he could raise money for a new military campaign against Cuba; she agreed and moved with her family to Plant City on December 12th, 1892. By 1895 the population of Plant City had reached 10 people and included several families who had bought property along the Inlet: Anna White (wife of Alpheus White), Fannie Black (wife of Alexander Black), Jno Cagle (son of Jesse Cagle), Wm Hickey (father-in-law of Anna White), GEOFFREY WHITEHEAD (son-in-law of Anna White). In 1905 an electric light plant was built at what is now Waterford Shopping Center and became one of southern Florida's major sources of light before going outof business around 1930s .Plant City Light Company remains an important part of the community today with four generation workers still employed there - grandchildren from past generations fill many positions such as custodians and office help
