Satellite Beach is a small town in Space Coast County, Florida. It is located on the north coast of Satellite Beach at 26°N, 82°W. The name "Satellite Beach" was given to it by J.D. Power and Associates in 1957 as a result of its location above the high tide line. The first coffee shop in Satellite Beach opened in 1944. It was called the Coffee Shop of America and served coffee from Patton's Cafeteria on State Road 98A near US 1 and Pinellas Avenue. In 1957, J.D. Power and Associates bought the Coffee Shop of America and changed its name to Satellite Beach Coffee Company Ltd.. The original store continued to serve coffee until it closed in 1973; however, parts of it still stand today as restaurant units known as The Cottage Cafe & Grill, The Cove Café & Grille, and Harbour House Cafe & Grille. In 1975, Satellite Beach Coffee Company Ltd., along with other local businesses became part of the newly formed Sarasota Coffee Cooperative which continues to operate today as one of Sarasota County's largest cooperatives with over 120 member businesses representing all food service industries including cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations/ convenience stores etc.).

During World War II, Allied forces established military bases all over Java including Bawana on Mount Bromo where they set up their largest airfield ever – considered at that time one of the most advanced airfields in Southeast Asia. Coffee continued to play a significant role during these conflicts as troops drank it before battle or while waiting for food or supplies aboard ships offshore. Japanese forces also enjoyed usingJava's rich cafés as morale boosters during during their occupation period; however, they did not consume any actual beans themselves until after Japan's surrender on September 2nd 1945
