Today, about 60% of all goods produced within Sebring are exported with about $5 billion worth exported each year according to United States Census Bureau data (2018). Many businesses that have arisen over time such as GMC and Philips Electric Lighting company are still active today including GEICO insurance company which has been headquartered here since 1927 as well as AIG who once had their headquarters here too before moving out across town into their current building on Northwest First Street just east of I-Drive Way during Hurricane Irma’s wrath back in 2017!

Sebring is a city located in central Florida, the county seat of Osceola County. The population was 893 at the 2010 census. The area now known as Sebring was once part of Indian Town, which was part of the Creek Nation. In 1853, a group of settlers from Georgia arrived in what is now Sebring and built a small community on the east side of town. In 1865, when Fort Sumter began to be built in nearby Jacksonville, some residents decided to move to Sebring so that they could avoid military service. By 1870, most of the original settlers had moved out and SebrING became an agricultural center with cotton plantations and cattle ranches dotting its landscape. After World War II ended and eastern Orlando began becoming developmentally challenged, Osceola County officials decided to build a new county courthouse in downtown Sebring because it would be closer to businesses and people who needed government services. The building opened in 1951 and served as the county courthouse until 1993 when it was replaced by the current facility on State Road 9A (now US Highway 1).
