Seminole Coffee is a unique coffee brand that has been around for over seventy years. The company was started by two men, John and Harry Semino, in 1945. They produced their own coffee beans and served it through small restaurants in Seminole. In the early 1950s, they opened a larger restaurant called The Bean Shop which became one of the most popular coffee shops in Seminole. The Seminos continued to operate their business until they passed away in 1966. Their son, John Semino Jr., took over the business and continued to produce its own beans until he passed away in 1998. Today, Seminole Coffee is still operated by their sons Harry and John Jr. It's an artisanal coffee company that sources only high-quality coffee beans from around the world. Seminole, Florida is a city in the U.S. state of Florida and part of the Seminole Tribe of Indians. The population was 521 at the 2010 census. It is located on Long Key Peninsula, just off US-1 between Sanford and Apalachicola counties. The name "Seminole" comes from two Pidgin English words meaning "a small island" or "Island in a river." The earliest known reference to a Seminole village was in 1694 when Captain John Smith discovered an island near Palatka about south of present-day Toonee Island. At that time, most people living on Long Key peninsula were Native American Tocobaga (Ocala), but some were British colonists who had moved downriver from Tallahassee and named their new settlement after Sir Walter Raleigh's friend and mentor, Edmund Andros. In 1763, during the French and Indian War, General James Forbes led his brigade against Spanish forces at Battle of Fort Moultrie which resulted in one hundred casualties for the British while losing only four men killed or wounded. As a result of this victory Forbes became colonelcy over Etowah County to include all of modern-day Seminole Nation including what are now Tallahassee and Live Oak counties east of Lake Okeechobee into its jurisdiction as well as parts of Levy County north of Lake Okeechobee which he divided with Stonogee leader Timucua leaders under terms set by Forbes withMiami then becoming majority white tribe over both parties.– Gadsden Purchase Treaty ceded lands stretching east from Tampa Bay through Miami to Polk County line; land ceded by Spain following its defeat in 1813; part included in Pinellas Co., Fla.) Coffee was a sacred drink to the Pharaohs and was used as an emergency measure to keep them alive during times of crisis. The first written mention of coffee is from ancient Greece in 476 B.C., where it was called Koffia. The first European settlers to North America added beans to their roasts in order to create a different flavor profile than what they were used to back home. In 1792, British colonists started small cafes on Long Island which soon spread throughout New England and into Pennsylvania and Maryland. In 1837, Dutchman Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press which allowed for mass production of books and prints, which in turn led to the growth of Coffee shops across Europe. In 1848, American Civil War veteran General Ulysses S Grant founded an army coffee shop on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., which quickly became one of the most popular tourist destinations in America. By 1861, over 1,500 coffeehouses had opened up throughout America providing quality roasted coffee at affordable prices for people of all walks of life. The next big step forward for Coffee came with World War II when bean farmers were forced into action as Germany produced more than four million tons of cocoa beans necessary for war efforts alone. This provided new opportunities for Coffee companies such as Starbucks who were able to purchase this valuable commodity at rock bottom prices before anyone else could get their hands on it! Seminole is a town in Monroe County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,872 at the 2010 census. Seminole is home to the Seminole Tribe of Indians and one of two major metropolitan areas in Monroe County. It is bordered by Lake Wales to the east, Sanford to the north, Winter Park to the west and Ocala Beach to the south. The land that now makes up Seminole was first inhabited by Chief Osceola's Creek People who lived along its banks c. 3000 BC. In 1821 some Creeks who had settled near what is now Tallahassee moved their village about 15 miles southwest of modern-day Seminole on low ground called Cocalico Hills just south of present day Springdale Road. The area that would become Seminole was part of Spanish Florida until 1765 when British General James Wilkinson acquired it as part of his land Acquisition from Spain during King George III's War for North America campaign (1763-1767). Afterward, most Indian groups living near or within French Louisiana were forced out during the early 19th century Opium Wars against China and Mexico; only a few Native Americans remained in what would become southwestern Florida after 1821 when whites began settling there in large numbers following American acquisition of much of Mexican territory (the Land School Act 20 July 1823 authorized U.S purchase of more than 2 million acres from Mexico for $5 per acre). By 1830 all but 350 native citizens were gone except for a few hundred Cherokees living east and northeast of Tampa Bay on Salmon River Valley among other reservations east and southeast of Tampa Bay which were not affected by American development until after World War II when they became state residents under Baker v Carroll et al..
