Another popular legend tells of a man named José Joaquin Rojo who started growing coffee in Abuela de la Costa Rica around 1875. He would travel to various villages and sell his coffee from carts or horseback riders. This system allowed him to learn about tastes and preferences for his drink that would later help him create some of Argentina's most famous coffees such as Carlos Lavellero and Atacama–La Paloma. Some historians even believe that Ethiopian traders were responsible for bringing espresso beans back from Ethiopia to Italy around 1600 AD!
