Stuart is a suburb of Miami-Dade County and is bordered by the city of Miami to the north and northwest, Biscayne Bay to the east, and Kendall Park to the south. The area that now makes up Stuart was first settled by Native Americans in early 17th century. The name Stuart comes from Stuarts River which flows through this community. In 1851, Captain James A. Brooke established Fort Brooke on what is now Northwest corner of Northwest First Street and Northeast Second Avenue in present day Stuart. This fort served as a base for military operations during the Seminole Wars until it was abandoned in 1853 due to lack of support from U.S.-Mexico War forces besieging Tampa Baytown (present day Panama City). After Florida became part of Mexico following its independence from Spain in 1821, development around Fort Brooke accelerated as Mexican settlers arrived seeking new land west of Tampa Baytown. On October 25, 1851, General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna issued an order establishing Villa Rica del Campo as a Mexican post west of TampaBaytown for Spanish American soldiers under his command who were fighting against Ulysses S Grant’s American forces occupying Cuba at that time In 1863 when Confederate troops invaded America through Mexico Colonel James Moore established Fort Donelson on what is now Southwest corner of Southwest Second Avenue and Northeast Third Street in present day Stuart after retreating from Confederate Siege at Vicksburg Tennessee Fort Donelson served as Union Army's main artillery piece against Confederate armies during both American Civil War and Reconstruction period In 1865 after Union army surrendered at Appomattox Court House all remaining Confederate troops were driven out of America including all their cannons along with their men refugeesUlysses S Grant orderedVsilla Rica Del Campo renamed Stuart on May 15 1865 following General Robert ELee’s surrender at Appomattox Court House while still under Union control Stuart remained partof Mexico until 1898 when it became part of United States following Treaty between United States and Mexico The first settler arriving in what would become Stuartsville Township was John Kapp who arrived on November 1st 1800 lot #1 situated near present day intersection of Northeast Fourth Street NW CornerNW First Avenue N Distinguished citizen named Wm Meigs purchased Lots #2 & #3 within same location about December 1800 . Kapp left 2 children with wife Sarah + family before crossing over into America On February 20th 1802 Isaac McCoy bought lot No 4 within same location for $200 two days prior to survey being made . After purchase lots were surveyed no deed was ever recorded thus giving rise to current name Hernando DeSoto Parkway but there actually wasn't any such thing as Hernando DeSoto Parkway until 1886 when road started construction upon discoveries by Masons directed by Governor Andrew Johnson . maps dating back to 1794 show public road running parallel to creek called Indian Trail going northeasterly then turning easterly near today's intersection . In 1785, Dutchman Hendrik Pauwels established a trading post near Cairo called the plantaetje (plantation). This was the first commercial plantation operation in Egypt and it became an important source of supply for the British Crown. Pauwels also developed a process for roasting coffee that allowed for more refined flavour profile than earlier methods. During the 18th century, coffeegrowing areas such as Holland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland started to develop their own specific styles of roastings and brewing that resulted in unique cup flavours. These countries' differed greatly in terms of climate, terrain and soil – meaning that there were many different types of bean species available to grow. As a result, these regions each developed their own signature flavor profiles which remain today within certain global coffeeshops chains.
