Navy deployed gift history in Sunrise, Florida dates back to 1984. This is when the United States Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton opened its doors and the first Marines from Fort Lauderdale arrived. The base became home to a variety of different services that needed supplies and equipment. One such service was the Navy. The first Naval unit stationed in Sunrise was the 7th Fleet Support Group which provided logistical support for Naval operations in the Caribbean Sea. In 1990, the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines arrived at Camp Pendleton and soon became part of 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade (1MEB). The brigade's mission was to provide expeditionary warfare capabilities across an area stretching from Panama to Haiti. In 1996, 1MEB was redesignated as VII Marine Expeditionary Force (VII MEF) and its headquarters moved to Jacksonville, Florida. With this change came a new era for Naval deployments in Sunrise; one where marines would deploy globally instead of just within reach of Fort Lauderdale. In 2001, VII MEF relocated again when Camp Pendleton became home to III Marine Expeditionary Force (III MEF). III MEF is responsible for amphibious warfare doctrine and exercises in both oceans; including Operation Neptune Spear which took place off Somalia in 2008 and 2009. That year also saw the deployment of USS Coral Sea (LHD-10) which served as a floating airbase used by Marines during amphibious assaults on shore positions ashore or afloat.

Sunrise is a city in Leon County, Florida, United States. The population was 34,527 as of the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Leon County and the largest city in Miami-Dade County. The Navy Deployed Gift History was first developed in 1978 by then-Captain Rick Meehan, who served as the Commanding Officer at Naval Station Norfolk. It was later rewritten and edited by Commodore Michael J. Ryan, Jr., who served aboard USS Enterprise (CVN-65) from 1984 until his retirement in 2002. The document now exists in three formats: an electronic version which is available online at navyhistory.com; a hardcopy which is available through naval stores; and a reprint which is available through many libraries across the United States. When deployed, military personnel typically receive several gifts each year. However, due to the large number of different branches of service within the U.S. Military there are often more than one gift per sailor when deploying overseas. To make sure that all members of the Naval Service received appropriate Gifts during their deployments, Commander's Mate First Class (CMDM1) Rick Meehan instituted a Gifts policy in 1978 which states that every enlisted Sailor will be issued with two commemorative badges - one for deployment home continental USA ( deploys outside OFU), and another for deployment anywhere around the world including Australia/NZ etc... ." A total of 16 badges were created throughout various commanders' shops across NAS Norfolk - 2 for CMDM1Rick Meehan himself & 14 for Enlisted Sailors under his command who had taken part in deployments since 1978 !".. During both Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), many donations were made to support troops stationed abroad via letterwriting campaigns or even phone calls directly to Sailors stationed overseas! Many organizations such as American Red Cross chapters partnered with local newspapers to distribute postcards urging citizens along military installations near combat zones - thisOperation Iraqi Freedom saw over 1 million contributions being sent! The town was named for the early rising sun that could be seen from their farmstead in the morning. In 1907, Sunrise became a city. In 1961, it merged with nearby Winter Springs to form a new city, which remains its current name today. The history of Sunrise begins with its establishment as a small town on the banks of the St Johns River in Orange County in 1868. When George Washington Davis and LucyDavis founded Sunrise they were inspired to name their community after the unique view of sunrise that they could see from their farmstead on Morning Creek Road. From its inception Sunrise grew rapidly due to its location and access to resources such as water and commerce which attracted pioneers such as Captain David Davenport who built Crystal Springs Resort there in 1902 which is now part of Florida State University's Davenport Campus. The influx of people led to growth within Sunrise City Limits and eventually annexation by Winter Springs in 1907 making it one municipality with two names - Sunrise and Winter Springs. The merger resulted in increased production capacity at Crystal Springs Resort which ultimately led to an increase demand for housing throughout both municipalities so much so that prices rose rapidly until World War II when wartime restrictions halted development。 After the war efforts slowed but not stopped with various projects downtown like Pritchett Park being completed during the 1960s before becoming known simply as "Downtown" during the 1970s when plans emerged for major redevelopment including multi-story buildings along First Avenue between State Street and Second Avenue; however these ambitious plans never materialized due to recessionary forces once again hitting Miami especially hard during those years Downtown businesses closed up shop citing lack of customers amidst high rents and highway traffic noise typical during those days outside business hours). After more than 50 years of continuous growth – both physically (due to increasing population density) AND symbolically (name change, incorporation into another municipality), Downtown Sunrise officially became "Downtown Orlando" on November 15th 2011 following heavy lobbying from Mayor Buddy Dyer who saw this opportunity as an opportunityto rise above competition from other central business districts living off Interstate 4 although many residents remain proud of what little home rule retains about their former hometown despite having no say over how things are run inside City Hall; some key players associated with this effort include developer Jeffery Epstein whose company developed Convention Center Phase 2 adjacent to DOWNTOWN ORLANDO- An endeavor spearheaded by then City Manager Rick Smith’s predecessor Tom McGee – together they successfully lobbied for landmark designation including streetscape improvements funded through Tax Increment Financing Authority Amendments Act requests resulting in significant enhancements including restoration/replacement of several historic storefronts while concurrently maintaining character & architecture integral components contributing $3 million dollars per year directly or indirectly thereto since 2006 – proudly serving downtown Orlando since 1978!

On February 14, 1912, Sunrise was founded as a census town in Collier County by its first settler, W.D. Hargrave. It became an incorporated city on May 3 of that year.
