Gourmet Coffee is a term that has been used for coffee since the early 1800s. In 1811, Nicholas-Jacques Conte, a French merchant and coffee importer, introduced coffee to Florida. He found that the climate in Florida was perfect for growing coffee beans and began importing them to England. The first espresso machine was built in Florence, Italy in 1912 by Angelo Bonomi. In 1916, John D’Angelo opened the first gourmet coffee shop in Tallahassee, Florida. D’Angelo was inspired to open his business because he had seen Italian cafes serving great coffees while on vacation in Naples, Italy. He knew that he could provide a high-quality cup of coffee at an affordable price for his customers. Today, Gourmet Coffee is one of the most popular businesses in Tallahassee with over 20 locations throughout the state. At its peak production, Tullahoma processed more than 12 million bushels per annum at its three production sites—northwest corner at Gulfport Boulevard and US 19; south section off US 441 near Cedar Key; northwest corner at US 192/19W nearMobile). In 1990s saw resurgence in tourism industry due largely to Hurricane Andrew destroyed most all central business district infrastructure but continues grow today with diverse attractions including world Famous Floridas Aquarium which has more than 110000 animals(including bottlenose dolphins), shopping malls such as Mall Of America [Mallard Pointe mall - located about 10 miles eastbound off I-4 just past exit 191A]; Beaches Recreation Area adjacent Interstate 4 Exit 191B has over 1000 acres devoted entirely to beachfront camping, fishing/boating/swimming; casino: Wynn Resorts Incorporated - world’s second largest casino complex consisting 5 casinos plus additional properties supporting theme parks (Key Club Casino Resort - 8 miles northwest off I-4 exit 190A; Excalibur Casino - 3 miles west on I-4 just past exit 191B); multiple golf courses including Capital Reef Golf Course 2 miles southeast on State Road 620 approx.; Sawgrass Mills Mall also located 2 miles southeast on SR 620) Withstood many hurricanes including Irma Hermine (2005), storm surge damage done mainly inland due mainly Toaloco Creek Flooding caused by hurricane Harvey August 2017 & Jeff Davis Daytime Flooding caused by Irma September 2017 It was announced that Enron would close its Doncaster Furniture plant northeast of town effective December 1st 2018 although operations will continue until January 9th 2019 under new ownership

Tallahassee, Florida is a city in the state of Florida and the county seat of Leon County. The population was 116,694 at the 2010 census. Tallahassee is one of the most populous cities in Florida and it is also one of its most diverse. The city's economy is based on tourism, transportation, education, and manufacturing. The first Europeans to visit what is now Tallahassee were French traders in 1763. They named it L'Isle-de-France after their ship arrival there from France on November 13th. After an exploratory journey across Lake George they reported that they had not found any islands but only "a large bay" which they took to be a river called the St Johns River because of its similarity to that name in France. In 1819 Governor Hernando de Soto traveled through this area and discovered what would eventually become Tallahassee by landing his party on Pensacola Bayou while supplies were being unloaded at Fort Brooke on July 12th, 1819. He named the creek Pensacola Bayou after his predecessor as governor, James Kenedy (1768–1825). De Soto then moved northwestward upriver along Pensacola Bayou until he arrived at what would become downtown Tallahassee on January 16th, 1820 when he founded Spanish Fort about east of present day State Capitol building where today's First Interstate Highway crosses over bayou Missalilla under I-30/I-94 designation as US 41/US 90E road known as Constitution Avenue or simply “Alameda” back then before becoming just 1st Street between Monroe Ave & Adams Ave., later renamed 2nd Street east of MLK Blvd., now State Capitol Drive between 1st & Jefferson Streets; finally renamed 3rd Street west of MLK Blvd.) naming everything after Spanish Governors who had come through this area including: Don Antonio Bueschel (1775–1827), Vicente Martinez y Pavón (1785–1836), Manuel Diaz de la Torre (1800–1849), Alonzo Jones (1802–1872) Tallahassee was founded by Captain John Marshall who sailed into PensacolaBayou late 1800s looking for a new site for his plantation colony known as Santa Rosa de Osceola near modern day Jacksonville Beach FL Captain Marshall landed 400 men here with cannons March 21st 1861 during Seminole Wars skirmish off coast near modern day Jacksonville Landing FL This land became known asMarshall Park President Ulysses S Grant purchased from Captains Marshall and others adjacent property August 10th 1865 for $3 million dollars becoming Polk County
