Temple Terrace is a census-designated place in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,846 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area. The name " Temple Terrace" originated from three small Baptist churches that were located on the same lot as what is now Temple Terrace Elementary School and Center for Creative Arts. The first two churches were called First Methodist and Second Methodist, respectively. The third church to be named Temple Terrace was built in 1949 by Mr. Loyd A. Hinton and Mrs. Florence Elisha Heckerfeldt (the daughter of German immigrants). They donated all of their land to the school district which built the current elementary school on it in 1960 with funds provided by an anonymous donor. As one could imagine, there has been much development at Temple Terrace over the years; however, most of this growth has taken place within walking distance of either the elementary or high schools which are now part ofMiami Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS). In addition to MDCPS, many businesses have located in or near Temple Terrace including Sunoco gas stations and restaurants as well as beauty salons and laboratories used by many local universities such as University Park Medical Center and Ramon Pena Community College Some residents still maintain some connections with their childhood homes while others live close to work or school but continue to visit their childhood hometowns on occasion when they have time off from work or school. Overall,TempleTerrace has become quite diverse with a large number of residents who are not originally from Miami Beach/South Beach/West Palm Beach areas combined with people who come from various parts of America including Puerto Rico, Mexico City, Canada and Europe Many memberships organizations exist in nearby South Miami where people often gather for social events or formed more formalized communities during times of sorrow such as 911 calls during Hurricane Irma There are also numerous amateur radio enthusiasts who operate Amateur Radio Services outfitted with repeaters situated around town As always - life goes on!

Temple Terrace is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,704 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to live in what is now Temple Terrace were German immigrants who came to the area around 1845. They built a log cabin on the banks of the St Johns River. In 1867, John Withers donated land to build a Methodist church and cemetery there. The town hall was completed in 1913 and is still used today as a community center. In 1944, when World War II began, many residents of Temple Terrace enlisted in the military or worked for the war effort. Many homes were destroyed during bombing raids by Japanese forces during World War II. After the war ended, many families returned home and rebuilt their homes and businesses; some remaining until they passed away in their sleep over 70 years later). In 1957, Temple Terrace Elementary School was constructed adjacent to Town Hall Square; it became one of only two schools in Polk County (the other being Central High School) that did not serve students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade until district consolidation took place in 1984. In 1978, First Baptist Church moved from its original location on State Road 2 outside of town into an adjoining building near Interstate 495 which served as both church and school until 1985 when it relocated back into its original location within town limits after being threatened with demolition by property developers who thought that new housing developments would be built on top of Old Main Street where First Baptist had been located since before annexation by the city of Sanford happened! It's reported that there are quite few items still left from this era including bake sales held at First Baptist Church December 24-26th each year thanks to alumni donations! There has also been occasional restoration work done on various buildings throughout recent years but nothing major has taken place so far...maybe due to lack interest?
Temple Terrace was founded in 1881 by A.J. Palmer and his brother-in-law, James W. Hickey as a Methodist Episcopal church on the east side of Tampa Bay. The first pastor was Rev. Jno. Covington and the first building, a small log cabin, was built in 1882. In 1889, Reverend John Denton became the second pastor and designed the new temple which was completed in 1893. It served as the seat of ecclesiastical government for Hillsborough County until 1912 when it moved to St Petersburg because of financial troubles at the Methodist church in that city. The temple is now a popular tourist attraction with its unique architecture and interesting stories about its history
