Titusville, Florida is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 707 at the 2010 census. It is located on the St. Johns River between Jacksonville and Tampa. The town of Titusville was founded by Augustus Saint John Titus in 1851 as a cotton plantation on the east side of the St. Johns River. In 1865, it became an independent village named after General James Longstreet, who had been its namesake since his victory at Gettysburg over Union troops under General Robert E. Lee. On December 3, 1919, Titusville merged with nearby Jacksonville to form a new municipality known as Jacksonville-Titusville annexed by Polk County on January 1, 1920. Titusville has two casinos: The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Blackjack Palace Casino

In the late 1800s, the Wilkinson family moved away from their plantation and began to settle in other parts of Florida. Titusville is a small town located in Pasco County, Florida, United States. The population was 3,579 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa-Clearwater-St Petersburg metropolitan area. As of the 2010 Census, Titusville had a total population of 5,883. Titusville was founded in 1892 by cousins John and Margaret Titus. They named it after their father's cousin Titusville, Pennsylvania. The first post office in Titusville was established in 1893. The town developed around the railroad depot on high ground east of the township center. By 1906, there were two general stores and three railroads served Titusville: the Jacksonville and Tampa Railway (later subsidiary of Norfolk Southern), Atlantic Coast Line Railroad (former subsidiary of Interurban Railway), and Pinellas Railroad (now part of CSX Transportation). The modern day community began to form when developers bought land east of Uptown near Clearwater Beach in 1912 for $1 million ($ as of 2019). They built a golf course, shopping mall, college dormitory, and other developments that today make up much of downtown Titusville. In 1939–40 local developer Harry Bendix purchased 1/2 mile (0.8 km) northof Main Street from US 41 to form what is now known as Bendix Park Preserve which offers views over Hillsborough Bay to Hillsborough County beyond

Titusville is a town in DeSoto County, Florida, United States. The population was 5,821 at the 2010 census. The name of the town comes from Titus Cameron, who was born in the area in 1847. Titusville is a bedroom community located within Tampa and St Petersburg. The land that would become Titusville was first settled by Germans in the mid-19th century. In 1848, Captain John Sievers purchased 2,000 acres (100 ha) of this land from Elias Kapp to establish what would become Titusville as a community for German settlers. Captain Sievers named his new community after himself – "Titusvil" – and laid out a grid of streets and homes on his property. By 1860, 100 residents lived in Titusvil; by 1870, there were 300 residents living there. In 1876, Captain Sievers donated another 2,000 acres (100 ha) of land to the state of Florida for use as an agricultural reservation known as "Okeechobee". This donation made possible the growth of Titusvil into one of Florida's most important farming communities during this time period. The Okeechobee Agricultural Experiment Station was established here in 1886 andnitigated various crops including cotton, corn, soybeans and sugarcane until 1935 when it became part of USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service under the name US Departmentof Agriculture - Agricultural Research Service (USDA ARS). In 1914-15 Governor Willard Bogue ordered all schools closed due to World War I because many military personnel had been drafted into service in that year but many people decided not to serve based on economic reasons which led to much anger among locals over what they saw as injustice perpetrated by officials outside their control. Many businesses owners refused to close because they depended on customers coming through their doors or black soldiers being assigned nearby jobs so these closures threatened social stability within rural areas during wartime times like this one where menfolk were called up without pay just to go off to fight abroad while their wives stayed home with children or other responsibilities back at home Aftermath: In 1916 local citizens organized themselves into committees “to improve life” following Governor Bogue’s order closing schools so that more productive citizens could be put into work instead However some business owners refused To Close fearing retribution if state officials knew about them So Businesses Closed But No layingoff Of Employees took place
Titusville is a city in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 27,752 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Daytona Beach Metropolitan Statistical Area. Titusville was founded by farmers in 1887 as a small town on the east side of Palm Beach County. The original name for the community was "Valencia". In 1920, it became an incorporated municipality with its own government and school board. In 1959, it merged with neighboring Lake Worth to form Titusville-Lake Worth Municipality. On November 2, 1987, the municipality changed its name to Titusville-Ft. Myers Municipal Corporation and ceased to exist as an independent municipality. The history of Titusville can be traced back to 1887 when farmers began settling in what is now Titusville on land that they had acquired from Spanish colonists who had come ashore during the Mexican–American War (1846-48). The first residents were men who purchased land from JAMES CLARK and JOHN PEARCE who had been pioneers inland from Tampa Bay area settlements. By 1893, there were over 100 families living in Titusvilletownships and about 25 businesses operating out of town limits; most of these were grocery stores or general storekeepers serving their township constituents rather than commercial enterprise based outside their boundaries which made it difficult for them to make much money commercially until after World War II when licensing requirements increased greatly as did competition within local marketplaces combined with technological advances which led to new business opportunities such as video cassette tape manufacturing and home media systems through satellite transmission while making telephone service available throughout townships on a wide range tariffs at not much more than two cents per minute! In 1920, Valenciana Township – located just south of downtown – amalgamated with neighboring Lake Worth Township (incorporated 1898) forming the new Titusville-Lake Worth Municipality which boasted a population of nearly 50 people including 10 schools and 8 churches! After annexation occurred all municipalities within Palm Beach County met government regulations set forth by county commissioners which limited Governmental Powers thereby increasing Efficiency thru sharing resources & limiting duplication
