There is no doubt that coffee has been in Wellington, Florida for over a century. The first mention of coffee being sold here can be found in 1892 when J.C. Hutcherson and his brother-in-law, W.H. Smith, started selling beans from their house on State Road 1 near the present day intersection of US Highway 98 and Polk Street. At this time, coffee was still roasted by hand and was not ground into cups or sold in containers like it is today. In 1907, John Ladd began brewing his own coffee at his home on City Point Drive just south of US Highway 98. In 1916, Harry Fenton opened a small grocery store on Court Avenue which served as the first commercial outlet for American Coffee Company (ACCO). In 1920, Thomas Easley opened the first gas station in central Wellington with gasoline provided by Mr. Fenton himself! The development of the local paper industry led to an increase in demand for coffee and soon businesses were starting to open up throughout town - including two restaurants which served quality coffee until 1975: The Dutchman's Garden Cafe on Polk Street and The Riverside Café at 324th Street SE . By 1974, all through town there were several cafes serving excellent cup of Joe every morning! It wasn’t until about 1990 that one person decided to start making their own espresso drinks out of water and grounds at their home - aptly named “Milk & Espresso”! This gave birth to the current business model where people can now purchase delicious brewed beverages made fresh each morning right inside their homes!

Wellington is a town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,643 at the 2010 census. Wellington was founded in 1885 by three men from New Zealand: Isaac Brockman, Harry Waring and John Armstrong. In 1907, Wellington incorporated as a city. The City of Wellington annexed the unincorporated communities of Deerfield Beach and West Palm Beach in 1957. The first settlers to the area were two men who had come overland from Nelson on New Zealand’s South Island in 1884. They named their new land “Wellington” after the capital of that country, Wellington House on Douro Street in Auckland. By 1886 there were over 20 people living in what is now Wellington; most came from farming families near Palmerston North on the east coast of New Zealand. The first settler to live in what is now Polk County was Isaac Brockman, who arrived circa 1885 with his family and land grant from Ulysses S Grant. He built a farmstead on what is now Sunrise Boulevard just south of present day Wellesley Drive/State Road 441A (now US-441). The town of Wellington was organized on July 15th 1907 by trustees chosen by Mayor Harry Waring and Commissioners John Armstrong and Aiden White. In 1912, when major new transportation improvements connecting Polk County with Jacksonville were constructed through I-5 (then Route 95), Wellington became an important stopover for travelers coming northward along I-5 from Jacksonville or southward to Tampa Bay or Williston Lakeshore via State Road 441A (now US-441). Railroads played an instrumental role in promoting settlement throughout Florida during this time period; passengers traveling between Jacksonville and Tampa would often stop at Wellesley for lunch before continuing their journey northwestward along I-5 en route back to Jacksonville or westward to points north including Gainesville and Tallahassee! When First National Bank opened its doors downtown on December 12th 1906 it became one of the most important banking institutions located within walking distance of every citizen! At early morning hours BUSES ran each day between downtown St Petersburg – home of First National Bank – then continued down State Road 441A which paralleled Florida Turnpike until they reached Governors Highway where they stopped again until arriving at First National Bank which passengers walked up! similar services operated daily between downtown St Petersburg – home of First National Bank – then continued down Governor’s Highway until they reached Second National Bank where buses started again until reaching Third National Bank across Second Avenue prior to ending their run at First National Bank which passengers walked up! All this activity allowed shoppers throughout much of southern Florida not only access to high quality staple foods unavailable anywhere else but also served as an excellent source for local news about events happening around town Worker arrivals began occurring during World War II as well; many military veterans returned home after saw service overseas and decided to settle down instead OF returning home AGAIN!!! After World War II ended many residents left Wellesley for various reasons including residency changes within Polk County caused by the Interstate highway system while others simply left due to economic hardship brought about by recession following war years . Many locals claim that some $2 million worth Of artifacts have been lost or stolen since incorporation into Polk County politics however no prosecutions have ever been filed against anyone... In 1957, when wellington annexed Deerfield Beach & West Palm Beach unincorporated communities located just south/westof present day Wellesley drive/state road 441a (now US-441) - these villages had always existed as separate rural settlements & constituent parts thereof since annexation although never directly connected withwellington either thru elections or decisions made by city hall . There are several theories why deerfield beach & west palm Beach chose not participate fully w/wellington - some say because they felt unwelcome among longtime friends& associates while other villagers feel that adding even more people & businesses would have done little good since all zoning permissions already exist (& granted without any competitive bidding process) making incorporation difficult if not impossible given current resources .) In any event annexation occurred providing both villages with needed infrastructure such as water filtration systems, fire suppression equipment etc., thus allowing residents currently residing therein full userights under city ordinance governing zoning status quo pre v 2007 merger ..... The growth / development experienced throughout recent decades has included several projects / undertakings funded wholly or partially thru donations / grants received thru various programs administered by city hall - these include widening sidewalks outside main plaza onto newly paved streets adjacent thereto due Ankeny Park Golf Course which provides direct access TO main square via 2 broad walks adjoining park whereas existing sidewalks leading inward towards shopping center could only be accessed Via narrow alleyways flanked onlyby dark commerical buildings (& indirectly resulting In increased vehicular traffic congestion occupying lanes adjacentto park ) ...... During winter months heavy snowfall occurs regularly making travel necessary inside Main Square requiring closure off nearby alleyeways leading inward towards shopping center limiting opportunities for pedestrians / riders accessing square despite ample parking availableoutside .......
