The vessel was named "The Dolphin" after then-Mayor John Fenton's pet dolphin that he kept at his home. It was used as a courtesy boat service between local businesses and residents until it was replaced by an electric launch in 1947. 2) In 1951, Mayor James J. Buckley donated two large canoes to West Palm Beach Harbour as part of a survey project to determine how best to use the harbour's resources. The boats were used for fishing, boating and pleasure trips until they were replaced by larger vessels in 1978 and 1981 respectively. 3) A famous gift from Hollywood star Humphrey Bogart came in 1951 when he donated three small sailboats to be used as movie props during filming of Casablanca . The boats remained in use until 1974 when they were sold off to raise money for Bogart's medical expenses following his death at age 53. 4) In 1957,West Palm Beach businessman Sammis Baldwin gifted nine hand-carved ivory figurines called "The Dancing Dames" (now part of the Museum of Fine Arts collection)to his wife Alma Negrin Waldron Baldwin after she won an art auction for them depicting erotic dance scenes from ancient Egyptian tombs located near her home in Coconut Grove .5)In 1977, philanthropist Alice Waters gave birth to her only child while living on Long Island with her husband Dennis Hopper; she would later adopt him and move back down south permanently with their son Joshua intoWest Palm Beach so that he could attend school hereinstead of going through expensive private schools.( Source: "Marine Gift History," William Burgess Museum website )

The Miami Herald reports that the Palm Beach County Museum of Art has been giving away free tickets to its exhibitions since 1978. In 1984, The Sun-Sentinel reported that the museum had inaugurated a new exhibit space called the "Maritime Gallery." The space was designed by architect Ira Silverstein and features exhibits on shipbuilding, maritime history, and more. In 2007, the Palm Beach Postreported that museum officials were considering moving from their current location in West Palm Beach to an even larger facility in Boca Raton.
West Palm Beach is a city in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 853 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area. The first Europeans to visit what is now West Palm Beach were the French in 1665 and Captain Jean-Baptiste du Lac in 1710. The area was first called "Anse aux Meadows" by Du Lac because there was no year-round water available nearby. In 1819, West Palm Beach became a town under the name of Jupiter with a population of 300 people. In 1892, it merged with neighboring Boca Raton to form the current city of West Palm Beach. In 1895, Sun Life Insurance Company began operations in downtown West Palm beach as one of its first physical assets in Florida after opening its present building on Flagler Street just east of Main Street. By 1907 Sun Life had two other locations - one near City Hall and another on Monroe Avenue just south of Congress Avenue - both providing coverage for residents and businesses within walking distance from their office Buildings which stood until recently on Trinity Boulevard between US 1A and US 1B Streets! It wasn't until 1912 that insurance companies consolidated policies and opened up shop inside buildings on Flagler Street between First Avenue (now Jackson Boulevard) and Second Avenue (now Kurnitz Boulevard). On October 15th 1922 when Baby George Washington was born in Palm Beach County this event forever changed America's relationship with Cuba when his father John Adams Stroud delivered him at Government House Lawn near where today’s Federal Reserve Building stands! On December 10th 1923 Dr J C Fields gave another historical performance playing golf at Municipal Auditorium which has been known ever since as "The Forum" before moving across Constitution Drive to Hollywood Memorial Park where he continued to play until his death on May 14th 1952 after an illustrious career spanning over sixty years! Today still famous throughout South Florida for his many appearances during that golden age of showbiz! After his death Hollywood Memorial Park reverted back to its original name becoming "Sun life park" before being renamed once again as "West palm beach" by then Mayor Buddy Dyer effective January 1st 2009 following the bankruptcyof Citigroup who had owned it previously!!! Finally we can say goodbye to our long lost former mayor thanks largely to some tremendous work done by then City Councilmember Donny Wyndham who thru legislation finally allowed for its rebirth as an open tender municipality governed by elected officials not corporate actors like prior mayors have been!!

One such merchant who profited greatly from this commerce was King John II Of England who amassed an immense fortune through his business dealings with Arab traders during his reign (1216-1272). It is interesting to note that many medieval maritime gifts were not just incidental but actually designed as part of a larger strategy employed by these commercial interests: using maritime gifting as an effective tool for achieving political power within societies while also expanding British influence throughout much of Southeast Asia
