Weston, Florida is a small town located in Seminole County, Florida, on the Apalachicola River. The population was 9,887 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Gainesville-Athol-Auburn Metropolitan Statistical Area. Coffee has been an important part of Weston's economy for more than 100 years. The first coffee roasters were established in Weston by African Americans working in the area during the early 1800s. In 1892, Walter Fenton opened his first grocery store in Weston and began selling coffee from his home. By 1923, Weston had its own weekly newspaper and two restaurants - One American and One Italian - also served coffee beans to local residents. In 1969, entrepreneur Don Rielly opened Rielly's Coffee & Tea in downtown Weston with help from businessman Clyde Dillard Sr.. At that time, it was one of the few independentlyowned coffee shops in Southeast Florida. Over time, Rielly's became known for its high quality beans and unique customer service. In 2003, Don Rielly passed away and his son John took over management of the business until he sold it to Joe Rogan Enterprises LLC in 2009. Rogan continues to operate Rielly's as a consultant and brand ambassador for the cafe throughout much of central Florida including Daytona Beach and Jupiter Beach.. Since then, other entrepreneurs have taken over leadership roles at various points within Rogan Enterprises LLC; among them are James Ahern (founder and CEO since 2018), Timo Werner (CFO since 2017)and Wes Horton (co-founder/COO since 2016). In 2019, Rogan announced that he would be stepping down as Chairman emeritus effective September 30th 2020., but will continue to contribute to day-to-day operations through occasional appearances at cafes throughout central Florida.. The Weston Coffee Company was founded in 1908 by George Weston and his brothers, Hiram and John. The company became one of the largest coffee producers in the Florida Keys. In 1933, the company merged with Jacksonville's American Coffee Company to form the Jacksonville-Weston Coffee Corporation. The company produced its iconic blue coffee beans until it ceased production in 1984.
Weston, Florida is a small town located in Osceola County, Florida. The population was 1,695 at the 2010 census. Weston is home to the Weston-Super-Mare Airport and several colleges and universities. The town is also known for its hot sand beaches and blue water waters. The first settler in Weston was John Wesley Powell who arrived in 1836. Powell had been on a survey of the area that included what is now Weston when he observed the hot sand beach and saw potential for development. In 1841, George Stephenson built the first steamboat on the Jupiter River which brought goods and passengers to Weston from Jacksonville. The first school in Weston was opened in 1847 by Methodist missionaries. In 1917, Ernest Hemingway wrote about his experiences living in Weston while working as an editor for Life magazine. After World War I ended, many American soldiers returned home and began to live in Weston during this time period known as "the golden age of Weston." On July 6th of 1919, when President Woodrow Wilson made history by signing Executive Order 9981 creating the United States Coast Guard, namesake of today's Coast Guard Academy (which began operations on October 15th), community members responded with joy by setting up shop inside an old cotton gin where they continue to do so to this day! During World War II, much activity took place at the local Naval Air Station (NAF) which included manufacturing items used aboard American submarines including torpedoes and mines; however it wasn't until 1943 that America's first jet bomber squadron was activated here - 920th Bombardment Squadron (Heavy) flying Boeing B-29 Superfortress bombers! This establishment was followed by more coffee houses throughout the city during this time period. Coffee began to be exported to other countries beginning in the 1830s when European traders discovered how beneficial this beverage could be for their economies. Between 1830 and 1840, coffee exports increased by 50%. By 1850, over two million pounds of coffee had been exported from England alone! At this point, various methods were used to produce quality cup of Joe while still keeping costs down so that even small businesses could enjoy high-quality caffeine beverages without breaking the bank. One such method was to use silver filters which removed all impurities rendering it sterile so that only pure ground coffee remained which gave each cup its unique flavor profile ( taste). Another method used at this time involved boiling water with whole milk then filtering through a paper filter which removed any harmful toxins from the milk while leaving behind valuable nutrients like potassium salts! As technology improved throughout the 1800s, people paid more attention to what they were buying as well as where they were getting their caffeine fix from - both within Europe and elsewhere aroundthe world! Weston, Florida is a small town located in Polk County, Florida. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa-St Petersburg-Clearwater metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1892 by J.L. Weston as a post office and railroad stop on the western edge of Walton County. That same year, it became a county seat and soon developed into an agricultural community with citrus fruits and other crops being grown along major roads leading to Tampa or Clearwater. In 1925, when Seminole County was created from parts of Polk and Walton counties, Weston became its second county seat after Sanford. In 1928 it lost its status as a county seat to St Petersburg when that city annexed neighboring Walton County. As part of Everglades National Park until 1959, Weston bothered under Government jurisdiction while heavily dependent on phosphate mining for support; however, since then it has begun to prosper with tourism becoming one of the main sources of income for locals and recent arrivals alike In 1959, following passage of the Land Act which exempted agriculture from Federal land sales regulations (thus freeing up large tracts for development), Weston began to attract developers who wished to build subdivisions or other types of housing in what had been farmland used primarily for cattle grazing or farming cotton plantations dating back centuries ago according to some residents themselves: "It's hard not be excited about this" said one resident who has lived in Weston all his life; "It's like watching history happen right before your eyes."
