Winter Park, Florida is a small town located in the Miami-Dade County area of South Florida. It lies on the extreme southeastern side of Miami-Dade County and is bordered by Boynton Beach to the south, Venice to the west, West Palm Beach to the north, and Boca Raton to the east. As of 2010, Winter Park had a population of 9,691 people. The local newspaper is The Orlando Sentinel and it has been published since 1923. Winter Park was founded in 1919 as part of a larger development called Sunrise Boulevard which stretched from Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood southwestward until it met State Road 6 in Cutler Bay. In 1927 Sunrise Boulevard was renamed Cypress Gardens after owner Harry Kapp donated 1,200 acres (4 km2) of land for a theme park that would include an amusement park and waterpark. At first Cypress Gardens was known simply as Winter Park because it opened during wintertime. In 1942 World War II interrupted development at Winter Park and it reverted to its original name before reopening in 1945 as Businessman's Circle with an open-air swimming pool, tennis courts, children's play area, etc.). In 1957 developers hired by Coca-Cola began construction on what would become one of their largest corporate campuses outside North America when they acquired land from Sunbeam Products Corporation along Sunrise Boulevard for what would become Coke Field Airport (now Orange County-Miami International Airport). The airport served as headquarters for both Delta Air Lines and Coca-Cola until 1984 when it became backup commercial service facility for Port Everglades International Airport following Delta's acquisition of American Airlines plane manufacturing facilities there. After American Airlines merged with United Airlines in 1993 Atlanta–based Lockheed Martin assumed responsibility for all US airline passenger traffic through Coke Field Airport until2000 when seamless consolidation resulted in the renaming of this airport once again - now just "Orlando Executive Airport". The NGSL was created in 1957 and isawarded for meritorious achievement while serving on active duty in any branch of uniformed services contributing directly to American security interests abroad or acting as an intermediary between such interests and U.S. civilians residing abroad when performing official duties as described in section 563(a)(2) of title 10 United States Code).

Winter Park is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 15,848 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1912 by two men from New York City, J. Pierpont Morgan and George A. Snively. Winter Park is home to several famous golf courses including TPC Sawgrass and PGA National Golf Club (now part of Allianz Life Insurance Company), as well as many other businesses and services such as health care, shopping, and dining. In 1912, two men from New York City, J. Pierpont Morgan and George A. Snively decided to establish a town in the heart of what was then known as the "Wild West". They named the town Winter Park after their favorite winter time destination - an earthen Presque Isle beach on the Jupiter River in Long Island Sound that they enjoyed ice skating on every winter season since 1892! The founders of Winter Park were very instrumental in developing this now popular resort area which today offers more than 1 million visitors annually! The towns first post office opened on December 2nd, 1912 and remained open until it closed on January 2nd 1954 due to mail fraud by Arthur Wickersham! George Snively served as the first mayor of Winter Park from 1912-1924; he also helped develop much of what is now downtown WinterPark with his vision for creating a "springboard for regional growth" within Palm Beach County! In 1924 he donated land for what is now Allianz Life Insurance Companynorthwest corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Indianola Drive; this became one of largest corporate donations ever made to any municipality in Florida! Mayor Snively's donation not only led to Allianz giving over $100 million dollars towards community development but also created Oneida Place - one of South Florida's most prestigious addresses before it became known as President Clinton Library!! In 1957 Mayor Snive's wife Bridgett donatedaddicteduranium research labon behalfof their son John MarkSniveto University Of Miami School Of Medicine!!! This event forever changed University Avenue into one stop for medical students coming into Coral Gables!!
Winter Park was founded in 1903 by Asa Hutchinson and his wife, Anna. The first store in Winter Park opened in 1905. The city of Winter Park was incorporated on November 15, 1916. On December 3, 1917, the city renamed itself toWinter Park after Simon Frost, an editor at the Orlando Sentinel who had contributed $5 to the city's treasury. In 1928, architect Edward Logue designed the Empire State Building and added a parking garage for employees on floors 66-68. In 1951, construction began on what is now State Lincoln Center and included a new library and multiple businesses such as Sears Roebuck & Co., Jussie Smollett's Pizza Place and KFC. After years of construction progress including two hurricanes that destroyed much of downtown Winter Park in 1949-1951 (Florida was then a part of US Florida), it reopened with pre-fabricated houses and plazas as its main business district on October 1, 1957.
