Zephyrhills is home to some of the earliest known coffee roasts in Florida. The first coffee beans were roasted on a small family farm in Zephyrhills in 1845. Coffee began being traded around the area soon after and by 1850, coffee was being sold at local stores in Jacksonville and Fort Myers. By 1862, caffeine was being traded between Jacksonville and Fort Myers using horsesback routes. In 1865, Wm. P. Davison founded Jacksonville's first grocery store and started selling coffee from his shop. By 1870, Zephyrhills had become an important port for exporting coffee beans due to its location on the mouth of the St Johns River.

Coffee became an important trade commodity in Europe after the discovery of new markets and opportunities across the ocean. The Dutch created a monopoly on coffee production in 1619, which led to its decline as a major player in the world economy. However, throughout history coffee has been a valuable commodity with multiple applications and purposes. In 1795, French scientist Pierre-Marc Brouillet developed a way to roast beans specifically for cupidity (the desire for more caffeine). This allowed for greater flavor penetration into each cup of coffee, resulting in better-tasting beverages that were more affordable and accessible than earlier versions. In 1857, American Augustus Keogh introduced instant coffee at his Columbian Exposition Fairgrounds in Chicago. At first it was only available througharentertainment venues such as hotels and gambling dens; however, within five years it had become widely available at grocery stores statewide. By 1920 over 60% of America's total population consumed some form of caffeine every day – this number has increased progressively over time to over 90% today! As espresso technology continued to develop during World War II, so too did its implications for warfighters and their combat ability. For example, when Patton's Third Army reached Germany in 1944 he requested two cups of caffeinated water per hour – this amounted to 4500 cups per day! Coffee also played an important role during Operation Overlord: Allied forces planned their assault from bases near Paris using information gleaned from intelligence reports about German troop movements and equipment caches; however, without adequate morning java they would have been unable to achieve success!

Zephyrhills, Florida is a small town located in Hillsborough County, Florida. It was founded on July 14, 1885 by W.B. Smith and his family. The first post office in Zephyrhills was established on October 2, 1886. The population of Zephyrhills was 1,469 at the 2010 census. The history of Zephyrhills begins with William B. Smith and his family who erected a cabin in what is now the heart of the community on July 14th, 1885. They named their new settlement after the Greek god Zephyrus which they felt resembled their own home country Scotland more than any other location in America at that time. In 1905 when Captain Smedley Butler became Commandant at Fort Myers Barracks he decided to move all US military forces from Tampa Bay to Fort Myers for security reasons since Japan had become belligerent and threatened American interests around the world during World War I. At this time there were only two hotels in town - the Star-House Inn and the Floridian Hotel which both closed within a few years due to competition from Army barracks being built closer to downtown Fort Myers (known today as Estero). In 1919Captain Butler reopened both hotels under an agreement with local businessmen Jules Leduc and Harry Hennigan which saw them operate side by side until 1922 when Leduc sold one to buy back the other; this left Zephyrhills without a hotel until 1959 when Recreation Department purchased adjacent land east of town for use as an open-air pool called "Gulf Breeze". The early days of ZEPHYRHILLS were very rough but it wasn't long before people started building businesses including grocery stores, woodworking shops, barbershops etc....... This growth continued until about 1930 when construction began on what is now known as Gulf Breeze Beach Boulevard which linked downtown with Lauderdale Lakes shopping center across Dixie Highway(now US-1). This new development led to even more business growth as people wanted easy access to some of south Asia's best shopping malls! In 1951 Census results showed that there were just 6 residents living in ZEPHYRHILLS while over 50% of its workforce consisted of farmworkers leaving little or no economic impact whatsoever upon surrounding communities such as Hillsborough or Stuartville......... After many years during which much has been done within & outside of our community we are currently experiencing another rebirth thanks largely to our wonderful city manager who has taken charge & continues working tirelessly towards making sure that everyone feels valued & partaken in everything that we do.............. Today we have so much more – jobs (including many high paying ones), beautiful homes within walking distance OF everything else………. We have come so far but there is still so much left TO DO…………….. The town of Zephyrhills, Florida was founded in 1881 by J.D. Polk and his family. The community grew rapidly in the early years, with a population of around 100 people. A post office was established in 1882, and by 1886 the town had a two-story frame building with a tin roof. The first school was built in 1883, and within a few years there were several other buildings erected in the town center. By 1890 Zephyrhills had a population of 350 people, and by 1896 it had reached 1,000 people. In 1898 Zephyrhills became part of the newly created county of Seminole County. The community continued to grow rapidly during this time, with an additional three schools being built and numerous businesses opened up. In 1907 Zephyrhills acquired its own water supply, which helped to spur development further. By 1914 Zephyrhills had reached 2,500 residents and had constructed several more buildings including a library and post office building. During World War I both the United States (the military) and Britain (the government) made use of the small town for training purposes; as a result, many new homes were built inZephyrhills during this time period. After World War II ended however, things slowed down somewhat inZephyrhills as most residents relocation back to their home country or stateside due to various reasons such as joblessness or war-time restrictions on imported goods entering America). However things began to pick up again starting around 1970 when many young professionals moved intoZephyrhils looking for an exciting but affordable place to live while they started their careers).
