Lewiston is a small town in central Idaho. The population was 1,471 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east bank of the Snake River and is bordered by Carbon County to the north, Nampa County to the east, and Salmon County to the south. Lewiston is home to Lewiston State University, a public university with campuses in downtown Lewiston and elsewhere in Carbon and Nampa counties. The town also has a shopping center, an ice rink, and several parks. The land that became Lewiston was first settled by Native Americans in this area around 1800. In 1847, Lewis & Clark Expedition passed through this area while on their way from Great Falls to St. Louis; they noted that "the country round about us appeared rich enough for people who would take care not to occupy it too much." By 1870, most of what became Lewiston had been developed as farmland; but due to gold rush excitement during that decade, many settlers moved into the city of Boise because of its cheap land prices. Lewiston's elevation (measured from sea level) makes it one of only two towns in Idaho where snow falls annually throughout most of winter: The other being Pocatello. This fact likely contributes to its nickname "The City That Slips". Most summers see lows near 30° F (18° C), which givesLewiston plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities such as playing golf or skating on frozen Ponds Ice Arena or taking walks along Umpqua Boulevard bordering Clearwater Lake before dawn or dusk when temperatures start dropping below freezing again In recent years, Lewiston has experienced some growth: In 2000-2001 there were only 585 residents living within city limits; by 2008-2009 that number had increased to 1,471 with 248 businesses located there; and by 2009-2010 it had reached 2,010 with 309 businesses operating within city limits alone! Despite these outward changes (and Census data showing rapid population growth since 2000), few things have changed materially about life hereabouts... except for more people working Downtown during weekday business hours!

This change led to a more complex process that involved more careful brewing and fermentation than earlier generations had experienced. As a result,artisan coffee became much more flavorful and expensive than ever before. Today, many small-scale roasters continue to produce high-quality artisan coffee, regardless of the cost or difficulty of production.

Coffee was originally brewed from two types of beans- Arabica and Robusta. These days, companies like Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts offer a variety of different types of coffee, as well as capsule and ground varieties.
Lewiston is a town in Idaho, United States. The population was 1,869 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Lewiston County and the only incorporated city in the state. The first people to live in Lewiston were Native Americans who hunted and gathered resources near what is now downtown Lewiston. In 1874, C.P. Huntington built a sawmill on the Salmon River and started manufacturing lumber for local homes and businesses. The townspeople pooled their money to buy land around the mill, creating a park which still exists today called Huntington Park (now known as Lewiston Downtown Park). In 1907, Lumberman's Union founded a paper company in Lewiston which became Idaho Paper Company. The company manufactured newsprint, flyers, postcards and other paper products until it went bankrupt in 1966. In 1939, construction began on what is now Northwest High School; it would eventually become one of the most notable schools in Lewiston history due to its innovative design which included an underground garage that served as classrooms and gymnasiums as well as offices for school administrators and teachers. During World War II, Northwest High School acted as an air raid shelter for local residents during Japanese bombing raids while also serving as a training ground for American military personnel during World War II. It wasn't until 1958 that Northwest High School opened its doors to students full-time; this occurred following a compromise reached between then-Local Education Director Virgil Gentry and then-Board of Education Chairwoman Hilda Goodyear after both parties felt that students attending schools outside of town should have access to educational opportunities unavailable within their own towns or villages
Lewiston was founded by Englishman, John C. Lewiston in 1869 as a small town on the banks of the Snake River. The town grew quickly due to its location and its access to water resources. In 1898, Lewiston became an incorporated city and has remained that way ever since.
