In Post Falls, Idaho, coffee has been a part of the community for decades. The first coffee shop in Post Falls was opened in 1924 by Mrs. W.F. Hargrave and her husband, Harry Hargrave. The shop was located on Main Street in the heart of the town. It served roasted beans from local roasters and brewed its own java, which was sold behind the counter or at doorsteps. The first Starbucks opened in Seattle, Washington in 2007 and quickly became a popular destination for locals and visitors alike due to its delicious coffee and convenient location near downtown Post Falls. Post Falls is a city in Cascade County, Idaho, United States. The population was 11,401 at the 2010 census. It is the smallest of the five cities in the county and only has a population of 4,500 as of 2010. The Post Falls Coffee Company was founded on October 12th, 1907 by Outlet man W. P. Sears and His associate Fenton Beasley on Main Street in Post Falls as a small grocery store selling coffee beans and other coffee related items to local farmers and consumers. The Post Falls Coffee Company became one of the first large-scale coffee companies in Idaho with its original production facility located on Fourth Avenue south of Main Street. In 1916 the company moved its main production facility from Post Falls to an abandoned mine shaft located just east of town off State Highway #3 (now Interstate 84). In 1970, business operations were transferred from the old mine shaft building to a new modernized plant on First Avenue south of Main Street which continues to serve as the company's headquarters today.
Post Falls, Idaho is a small town in the Boise-Cottonwood area of south-central Idaho. The population was 7,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Boise–Nampa metropolitan statistical area and the Boise Valley Micropolitan Statistical Area. Post Falls has a temperate climate with cool to cold winters and warm to hot summers. The history of Post Fall goes back to 1868 when gold was discovered in what is now Post Falls. The town was founded on July 8, 1868 by men who had been prospecting for gold near present day Telluride, Colorado. The first post office was established here on October 5, 1868. After two years of growth, Post Falls became a city on December 1, 1870 under the name of Goldfield. A fire destroyed most of downtown on February 14, 1871; however, due to donations from citizens and businesses alike and the intervention of Mayor John Doherty (the son of local settler John Doherty), rebuilt began immediately and quickly became one of Idaho's largest downtowns with a population exceeding 10 thousand people by 1880! In 1886, as part as part of celebration for 100 years since Goldfields had become a city full time (it only became an incorporated municipality in 1907), Mayor Doherty dedicated "The City Hall" which still stands today - an impressive example of late 19th century civic architecture in central Idaho! In 1901-1902 construction began on what would later become known as the new courthouse which replaced an ancient log courthouse that burned down in 1889. This building remains standing today as one of downtown's most popular tourist attractions - both for its beautiful architecture and its unique features such as its three levels: first floor courtroom/auditorium; second flooruberculosis hospital;and third floor administrative offices/schoolhouse/library). As business continued to grow throughout the 20th century more annexes were built including industrial areas such as shopping malls and professional services districts like Des Moines Boulevard across the street from current day Main Street Plaza where many small businesses have long thrived - complimenting Downtown’s vibrant mix Of Arts & Crafts style buildings dating back to early 20th century HC Haymaker Clothing Storefront! Finally during this era several high end condominium developments were developed including Century 21st Century Square House located just east off I-5 adjacent to Interstate 84; Meridian Placephase II located about two miles southeast off I-5 next door to Meridian Mall; Park Place Phase III located about one mile northwest off I-5 just past US 36 exit 12A next door to Utah State University; Heritage PlacePhase IV southwest off I-5 just past US 36 exit 13B adjacent KFC); finally Millennium Pointe development opposite Interstate 5 exit 11A) between Millennium Development Incorporated lot #2A(northwest corner) & On Rampway LLC lot #2B(southwest corner)), all near International Airport outside town limits making it easily accessible by car or public transportation! Today much like then Post Falls features vibrant mixed use neighborhoods complete with grocery stores chapels bars restaurants parks etc., while also retaining much older brick architecture typical Federal Style Buildings dating back To 1800's

These efforts are intended to bring new life to what has long been an important regional center for economic development and culture in Idaho.
In 1868, Post Falls was so named because the post office was located there. The town was founded by James W. Post and his wife, Margaret, in 1867. The Post family soon became prominent in the community and domesticated many of the plants that were used to produce milk and cheese in those days.
