White passed away and his son, Tom, took over the business until his death in 2006. From then on, the store was run by his daughter Donna and her husband Bob." The White family continued to operate JMWS until it closed its doors in 1964 due to economic troubles. However, their legacy is still felt today as one of the most significant marine gift stores in America."
