The Frankfort-based Air Force has dispatched gift baskets to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan for more than 20 years. The tradition of sending gifts to service members began with the deployment of troops in Desert Storm in 1991.Since then, Air Force personnel have sent family and friend presents to deployed comrades-in-arms all over the world. This year alone, the AF has sent a basket to every service member stationed in Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea and Australia. The air force's love for giving back begins with its mission: flying men and women into harm's way so they can protect our country from danger. TheAAF sends a message that we are proud to be an American military family and support our Troops abroad. It is also important that we show appreciation by sending appreciated items such as clothes, jewelry or computerputers home with servicemen/women on deployment overseas. There are many reasons why someone might send a gift basket to an airman or woman deployed abroad. One reason may be because the person loves their partner or sibling very much; another may be simply because they feel it is their duty as Americans to show support for those who serve us abroad. No matter what the reason behind gifting an airman or woman overseas, it is always nice for everyone involved - from those receiving the present (usually loved ones), to those sending them (the AF).
Every year, the United States Air Force deploys a variety of gifts to its partners and friends in the region. These gifts are meant to show our support for their military operations, as well as provide some much-needed morale boosting moments. This year’s gift was particularly poignant, as it was sent directly to Qatar – one of America’s allies in the Gulf region. The Qatar Armed Forces are among the most decorated in the world, having fought alongside America in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Their service has earned them a great deal of respect within the Arab world, and they play an important role in American strategy here at home. The Qatari Armed Forces also offer excellent opportunities for training with NATO forces; this past year sawQatar take part in multiple exercises with US troops on various battlefield scenarios. This past December, President Donald Trump personally selected Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed bin Jassim al-Thani as commander of Qatar’s military contingent stationed within Saudi Arabia. This move is significant not only because it marks an expansion of Qatar’s military presence within Arabia – Thani is known for his leadership during Operation Neptune Spear, which resulted in several hundred casualties for ISIS – but also because he will be leading a force made up entirely ofQataris. This indicates that Qatari leaders see American support as essential to their country’s security interests here at home and abroad; something that we can all appreciate when looking across the Middle East
In 2008, the Frankfort Police Department received a gift from the United States Air Force. It was a K-9 unit that had been stationed at Lackland Air Base in Texas and was being sent back to Indiana to be used by the department. The air force donated three of its dogs to the department, and Franksfort Mayor Tom Fitzgerald named one of them "Pete."
Frankfort, Indiana is a city in central Indiana. The population was 38,571 at the 2010 census,[2] making it the 22nd most populous city in the state of Indiana. Frankfort is the county seat of Franklin County. The Ohio River defines much of its southern border and flows through downtown Frankfort close to riverfront PARKS attractions and other tourist destinations. The first European to visit what is now Frankfort was French explorer Sieur de La Salle on July 4, 1796. He named the area for Prince George of Hesse-Darmstadt (1763-1828), son of George III, King of Great Britain and Ireland. In 1814, when Henry Clay became president of the United States and began pushing for territorial expansion into what are now Illinois and Indiana, he decided to move his capital from Philadelphia to Indianapolis because it would be closer to Congress's home in Washington D.C., which then controlled most east-west trade between America and Europe. In 1836, General Andrew Jackson moved his headquarters from New York City to Indianapolis so that he too could participate in Ulysses S. Grant's battle against John Custer at Little Bighorn after being routed by Custer at Battle Creek Summit near present day Lafayette Park in Frankfort on November 25th, 1876 during the American Civil War effort as part of an overall strategy known as " Sheridan's March ". A statue honoring General Jackson stands outside the new State Capitol building on North Street near US 23rd Street where he served as governor from 1839 until his death in 1850 while also serving as military governor during Reconstruction following slavery's removal from America
The United States Air Force is a military organization that has been in existence since World War II. The USAF was founded on August 29, 1947 as the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFFE). It was renamed the United States Air Forces in Asia (USAFIA) on January 1, 1951. The USAF was re-established as the United States Air Force Central Command on June 15, 1955. On September 3, 1957, the USAF became operational under NATO control when it merged with the European Command to form NATO's First Tactical Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Forces. Inactivated on October 1, 2009 and disbanded effective November 30 of that year. On July 17, 1959 North Korea conducted its first successful launch of an ballistic missile using a KN-08 three stage rocket engine; this event marked the beginning of hostilities between South Korea and North Korea which would last for more than five years until their initial unification in 2000.

Frankfort is a town in Indiana, United States. The population was 5,839 at the 2010 census. Frankfort is the third-largest city in and the county seat of Jefferson County. The community was platted on March 3, 1827 by General John P. Morgan as part of an area that became known as the "Morgan Settlement." The first stores opened in Frankfort in 1827 and early residents were farmers who raised livestock and did not have much to do with town development until after the opening of a railroad station nearby in 1836 changed transportation opportunities for locals. A post office was established in 1837, and growth accelerated when a canal was completed connecting the Danville River to the Ohio River via Uniontown in 1840. In 1850, following Indian removal from Indiana, many of Frankfort's settlers moved to Missouri; however, most continued to live here until after Indian Removal ended in 1865. In 1870, another rail line arrived that helped drive growth for both businesses and residents; this time it was called the Dearborn Railway Company which later became part of Via Rail. In 1907–1908 during construction of then new Interstate 85 through Jefferson County near present day Indianapolis (the original route), parts of what is now downtown Frankfort were demolished as part of projections along I-85 seen as necessary for widening the interstate highway while avoiding residential areas adjacent to it. However today many aspects of downtown including several blocks east or west of I-85 can still be seen evidence of its demolition days such as concrete barriers around streetlights used during those years when motor vehicles were not allowed on streets laid out before 1955 such as Main Street between West Washington Street and State Street across from First Baptist Church). All told about $4 million dollars worth taxpayer funded infrastructure destruction took place during I-85 construction projects even though no one ever claimed responsibility! This author has personal knowledge that some bricks from demolished buildings still lie scattered around town today! "Frankford Township", named for General John P Morgan who organized what would become Franksport Township on land donated by him, was platted on March 3rd 1827 according to local sources including USGS Topo map #3123 dated December 9th 1800 . The township covers an area bounded north by White Oak Creek on the east side (including all present day Franklinburg) ; south by French Road on the west side ; east by Canal Creek on behalf of Clintontown Township - now Dunkirk - lying immediately northwest thereof ;westwardly extending unto Canfield Creek aforesaid."
Frankfort was founded in 1779 by Captain John Hart and his wife Martha. The first settler in the Frankfort area was Baptist minister, David Dixon. In 1807, the town was renamed to honor King George IV of England. The city moved from its original location on the banks of the White River to its present location on the National Mall in 1986.
