The armory’s Collection includes over 350 Firearms dating back to 1847-making it one of the oldest continuous handgun collections in America. Since its inception as a small shop located within Springfield Armory, GLG has evolved into one of the leading sources for gifts related to firearms enthusiasts. Franklin, Indiana is a small town located in the western portion of the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 1,752 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lafayette, Louisiana Micropolitan Statistical Area. Franklin was founded in 1814 by General George Rogers Clark and Elijah Woods as a trading post on the current site of Frankfort,Indiana. In 1825, General David Brown Forbes moved his military headquarters from Detroit to Franklin after becoming General Winfield Scott's lieutenant-general. In 1827, President James K. Polk built a house here for himself and his family as their winter quarters while he was marching through Indiana on his way to become president in November that year. As part of the Treaty of Washington (1847), France ceded control over Ironton County to United States; under this treaty, Ironton became part of Lafayette Micropolitan Statistical Area with Franklin as its capital city. The growth of Franklin and neighboring Lafayette made it difficult for residents to get food and goods needed for their homes and businesses during World War II because there were no markets available close by that could handle American supplies being imported into Europe via naval vessels carrying war materials bound for Russia or Japan. A local group called "The Committee On Agriculture" formed in 1944 to try to get government help getting produce into Franklin so that families could survive during wartime shortages; however, little progress was made until 1948 when President Harry S Truman appointed an Agriculture Department official named Luther Hodges as chairman of what would become known as The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). NASS started propaganda campaigns against Inland Empire farmers who were alleged to be producing too much rice, wheat, cotton and other essential crops which were outselling their counterparts in adjacent states thanks to marketing efforts coordinated by agricultural magazines like " agriculturist ". In 1949 NASS began publishing "Farmers Weekly", which continues today as one of the most popular agricultural publications in America due primarily to its focus on community agriculture developments around rural areas across America – such as urban agriculture projects – rather than just farm production statewide or within individual counties/towns/villages where NASS has jurisdiction over these types Of Programs*."NASS also initiated/created many programspkg such as: One Hundred Years After: A History Of National Agricultural Statistics Service Publications (1949-2009) * Note: These types Of Programs are now typically referred To As Community Agencies

Franklin, Indiana is a small city in the eastern US state of Indiana. The population was 8,554 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Statistical Area. Franklin is an agricultural community and was founded by General David Humphreys in 1811 as a trading post on the Wabash River. In 1814, Humphreys moved his headquarters to Franklin and became its first mayor. As it grew into a small town, Franklin began to develop into an important transportation hub for central Indiana. The town also became known for its landmark Gothic-style buildings, including the Old State House and the Methodist Episcopal Church (now called First National Bank). In 1907, Franklin hosted the world's first international fair, which attracted over 120 countries.* In 1916, Roosevelt sent Franklin D Roosevelt as presidential envoy to India in order to improve trade between America and that country during World War I. As president of America, Roosevelt pushed for free trade policies that helped American businesses benefit from increased global competition. In 1951, after more than 50 years as mayor of Franklin*, Humphreys died suddenly*; he was succeeded by his son-in-law John Hynes *. After Hynes' death in 1985*, five other mayors served under him*: Paul Ellerbe*, Clarence Wright*, Richard Maturen* (* latter resigned after being indicted on corruption charges), and Byron White*. On January 1st,, 2001, following more than 20 years of experience as Mayor of Franklin*, John Hynes announced his retirement effective February 1st††† due to health concerns about age * prostate cancer *
