Kendallville is a small town in Indiana, about 25 miles southeast of the city of Indianapolis. The population was 4,541 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Evansville–Normal Metropolitan Statistical Area. Kendallville is home to the Kendallville Junior-Senior High School and two community colleges: West Central Community College and Mid-America Nazarene University. In addition, there are several businesses and restaurants in the town. The Main Street Business District has a variety of stores including convenience stores, gas stations, pet shops, bakeries and other food retailers. Kendallville was founded by George Washington Kendall in 1824 as a trading post on the then-new National Road. He named it after his nephew Kendall who had died shortly before its founding. In 1829, he donated land for what would become Kendallville Junior-Senior High School which opened in 1830. The school was relocated to its current location in 1909 when it merged with nearby Normal School (now Northwest Community College). It became an accredited college in 1984. In 2007, Kendallville attracted national attention when local high school students set up a "peaceful protest" against increasing tuition prices at four Indiana universities by sitting down not participating during class hours as part of "The Education Revolution". This type of protests has been commonplace across America since September 11th 2001 due to skyrocketing tuition rates without corresponding increases in education opportunities or value for money

Kendallville is a small town in Kane County, Indiana, United States. The population was 583 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Rapids–Withee Micropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in Kendallville were Levi Cook and his family who arrived in 1813. They built a log cabin on the banks of the White River. In 1830, they founded the Village of Kendallville which grew to become one of the most prosperous towns in Kane County. The village name was chosen because it was near what later became called "the Illinois line." In 1842, David Whitcomb established another small town nearby called Parkersburg which also prospered for many years until it lost its boom times around 1900. Kendallville experienced its own economic downturns during World War II and after that time it slowly regained some popularity as a shopping center and commercial center for the surrounding community. However, today Kendallville is still considered an agricultural town with significant contributions from poultry production and other agricultural products
The first white settler in Kendallville was John Armstrong. He arrived in 1802 and built a cabin on the east side of the river. The village of Kendallville began to form around this small community, with people from all over coming to trade goods and services. In 1814, General David Wilkinson founded the Post Office here and named it after his home town, West Point, New York. By 1830, Kendallville had become an important trading center for the area and its residents were known for their hard work and efficient business practices. The town prospered until the American Civil War caused a loss in commerce that led to its decline. However, since then, Kendallville has made a comeback as an economic hub thanks to its growing population and infrastructure.
